That pick would definitely need protections for me to be comfortable. I dunno...IQ sounds like the better option. Brogdan is good, but you consider the salary, injury history, the assets they'd have to give up.etc. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.

She talked about the inability to properly assess Brogden and Turner's trade value. She did say that Indy would be ecstatic to get a first for Brogden but the Knicks would have to be crack-high to trade 11. After listening to that podcast (an excellent one, btw) I get the impression that there is no market for Brogden per se - it being the Knicks outbidding the Knicks as has happened far too many times in the past. I think a future first (not next year's) and salary ballast would do the trick. Given Turner's injury trajectory, I think Noel certainly would be one to go. |

I've cooled down on Brogdan anyway, but a protected first round pick wouldn't really get me upset. Two second rounders would be better, but whatever. The Knicks have more picks than available roster spots for the foreseeable future. My issues has more to do with Brogdan's fit with the current roster. A market will develop for Brogdan just for the simple fact that there aren't any other good lead guards available after Brunson and Jones. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. Everyone has desires. I want prime Salma Hayek. Doesn't mean I'll get it. But if you're a good team looking at low first-rounder anyway, why wouldn't you throw a protected pick out there? They might only be able to get two second rounders out of it. But then you factor in the players they'd want, even if it's just to match salaries and other issues. I wouldn't call any potential deal a no-brainer. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.

Thats a 1st rounder! So they might want. It, but its the salary part that is hard. We want to get rid of Jules so we can tank in next years draft? So we keep banking on hope each year? |
