The knicks do have some leverage because this draft has lot solid bigs like mark williams, orlando robinson, walker kessler, kofi ****burn and also jalen duren. I still think its and over pay but fair deal if the knicks give 4 years 48 million dollars to mitch robinson.
This is exactly what I was going to say, couldn’t of said it better.
who are you saving that money for? Does letting Mitch walk and drafting one of those guys make the Knicks better?
No, the goal is to get back into the playoffs next year not do another “true rebuild”
MitchRob skills/talents are a 4 yr. $60M KEEPER!
Truth b said .. MitchRob's performance on the Knicks are more valuable than RJ Barrett's weak performance.
The Knicks roster has several players that can play Barret's role on the Knicks better than Barrett (Fournier, Burks, Grimes, and Cam Reddish). The Knicks have no-player on the roster that can perform at the center position better than MitchRob. Rookie Sims showed in his rookie season to be the perfect backup center for MitchRob. Resigning Nerlens Noel's to a 2 yr contract when PF Taj Gibson out performed Noel at the center position all season was another Knicks FO joke.
Coach Thibs has never showed in his NBA head coaching career to coach improvement in any of his big-men.
Recall, KAT got Thibs kicked-out of Minnesota!
And coach Thibs letting Randle be the facilitator of the ball for two seasons, when I recall a Spurs rookie PF Tim Duncan throwing more alley-oop lob passes in just his rookie season, than Julius Randle throwed in his 8 yr NBA career. Did Randle miss Back-Door plays to MitchRob? All the time !!!
