Why take a 20 million dollor risk, Dude DR> Norman scott is a joke of a pyhsician.

Come on dude risk is everything life, the bigger the risk the bigger the reward. How many Risk as IT taken since his got here.

Steph for the good he's done as yet to show leadership in any of his 7 prior seasons, all of his prior teams have done well without him, they've actully done better. So that was a risk.

Nazy, and Tim haven't done anything to make that deal look remotely sane. So that was a risk.

Belive me, dice's future looks a lot brighter then our entire front court
Grant Hill is currently averaging 19/6.3/3.3/1.86 steals. Did you know he'd be healthy before the season? Would you have traded a star player for him or something? Hindsight is indeed 20/20.

Thank you for clearing this topic up. #1 Phoenix had their eyes set on getting Nash and Q Richardson WHICH HAS A HUGE BENEFIT FOR THEM . The problem was that in NY they had know patience for Dice to rehab him the right way. He(mcdyess) praised the Sun's strength and conditiong coach on how they worked him back into shape with his knee injury and how in NY they did things (rehab) totally different and on top of that wanted him to come back and be the savior. Zeke is gonna lose some of these battles with trades and free agent, when will we as fans stop getting so intoxicated with the bug juice
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

NY had no patience??? We waited two full years for McDyess! Management let him sit out for a 1 1/2 years to rehab on his own schedule. Please explain this lack of patience

Worst Seat in the House: Antonio McDyess can't stand to watch Knicks lose without him but it's how they will fare with him that is now the concern.

Rare Sight: Knicks hope to soon see Antonio McDyess back in uniform.

Hope for the Knicks is a chiseled 6-9 power forward with a bum knee and, some might say, a sore back from carrying the heavy expectations of an entire franchise. Antonio McDyess is taking his comeback one delicate step at a time while everyone else anticipates giant leaps.
"I know that people think, I'm going to be the savior, but I'm not," McDyess says. "There's a lot of pressure and it is unfair. What people need to understand is that I'm not going to give 20 (points) and 10 (rebounds) right off the bat. I'd like to think I will surprise even myself. But I also have to be realistic. I've been out two years."Chaney told reporters there was a chance McDyess would be available, when in fact he wasn't close to being ready.

"Where did you guys get that from?" McDyess asked reporters then. "How come no one believes me when I say I don't know when I'm coming back."That's part of it," McDyess said. "I wish I could be out there. There are so many expectations but I have to make sure that I'm 100% before I go back out there. I'm tired of making comebacks."

They wanted him to come back too soon that was the added pressure he didn't need.

Of course they *wanted* him back. Who wouldn't *want* him back? But they did patiently give him all the time he needed

Patience? They rushed McDyess back to be ready for the start of his first season here and he reinjured himself in preseason. Then they rushed him back for last season when he still wasn't 100%. They rushed Houston back last year and they rushed Camby back a couple of years ago. Knicks management has a history of this.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

patience? lack of patience? totally moot.

it comes down to whether isiah wanted to keep a PF with 3 knee surgeries around and then have an awkward offseason re-signing him or trade for a player to put his stamp on the organization. he went for the latter.

debate all you want whether marbury was the right choice but not waiting on dice or trying to bring back a PF with broken knees to join a weak frontcourt is why i, as gm, wouldn't even consider bringing him in.

IMO what's the difference between Steph( who has been leading his prior teams to loses) or Dice ( who your not sure weather he would return to form or close to it), there both huge risk. But on a finacially note, dice was the better choice, he would have resign for peanuts just for being patient with him and believing in him ( unlike ZO).

IT (being a pg himself) is so hell bent on saturating this team with athletic freaks and PGs who can't defend. He had a choice to get dampier, but chose JC. I like the JC, but our glaring weakness has never ( even when we had chaney) been putting the ball in the bucket. We have been abuse ( to the point of embarassment at times) on the defensive end.

If we had this same squad ( and a healthy H2O) last year, we still wold have lost to the NETs, maybe not a sweep, but certainly the series.

If you insist Layden and Cheney made the mistake of rushing McDyess back, then maybe I was just giving them the benefit of the doubt. We all know I have a habit of doing that for those two individuals.

Knicks management has a history of this.
If you look at how patient they're being with Houston, it's clear Isiah put an end to the problem you're describing.
