That means if he cant gel with the other talent on your roster he becomes a piece you need to move. We are at that point.

Do you think Randle would be of better service to this team, and himself? if he played closer to the basket? Especially considering that we have given him “more shooters” as you mentioned?

He's a post bully ball player player but he sees himself as a point forward and he really isnt. His jump shot hasnt been good and his shot selection is also not good. He thinks he's a Kobe like ISO scorer (based on how he plays) and he just isnt.

His adjustments this year have NOT been good at all

Exactly. And thats what I mean when I say he is not being utilized properly. Thats exactly how he should be playing. And He is a good enough passer that he can play it out to one of his shooters or a cutting RJ.
I see this as a Thibs problem because he doesn’t change it and allows him to play as a point forward as you mentioned.

DORIS BURKE kept saying all night, why are they playing so slow letting the defense load up, this is ridiculous, cmon dude, JVG, Reggie Miller and more have all criticize the knicks for playing at a snails pace.

Just as fast as fans turned on Randle, im starting to feel the same way about THIBS, who has no plans on removing Mitch or Kemba from the SL

But Yes…I agree, 100%. Athletes would fare much better if they were off social media. I would imagine that part of his issue is all the backlash he is receiving from fans. In any case, history has shown that a player unfollowing the organization he plays for, on twitter, is never a good sign.

At least we have moved the goalposts to "Thibs cant control Randle" which is more fair.

Maybe Thibs tried to get him to make adjustments which is why Randle is not pouting and unfollowing and wandering around instead of being in huddles so they want to trade him. How do we spin that to be Thib's fault?

I don't know what Thibs is saying but I do know that Randle is doing the same thing over and over again and its not working. I'm all for letting a shooter, shoot his way out of a slump, but I have to ask, when does the coaching staff coming in and come up with a new game plan?

Teams weren't ready for Randle last year and the offensive schemes the Knicks were running but they are now. I'm not part of the "Thibs doesn't change" crowd. Never believed any of that, but we have taken a huge step backwards from last year and I don't believe its because we lost Payton, Bullocks (and Rose is injured).

Regardless of how we may feel about Thibs. I didn't think the Knicks were going to trade Randle this season but, to me, this is telling and will be keeping an eye out to see if any of the more prominent Basketball reporters say anything about this.

Actually if true - it means the FO doesn't let their ego/pride get in the way of making the best decisions. You don't hold on to a player just because you traded or signed for them recently. A good GM/FO privately acknowledges their mistakes and corrects them when possible. Are you suggesting they hold onto Kemba if there is a deal available - simply because they signed him and it didn't work out? No - you do what's best because things are always in a state of flux/transition. A good hitter doesn't fret when he strikes out - he keeps swinging and doesn't get stuck on the last strike...

Julius got paid, had a new baby and saw his two best friends who were ELF and Reggie move on. He hasnt gelled with this group. Some of that is on Thibs as well, some of it is just life.

This is NOT a championship team, nor does this roster have franchise leading talent. Not every player is the going to be the right player and what really matters is the overall value of the roster and talent continues to improve. I think we may simply have gotten what we can from Randle and its time to move on

Does Randle have more value now than he did before Thibs got here? I think that is the real question and I suspect we find out soon.

FWIW, I can't speak to his friendships, but Bullock is having a great defensive season in Dallas. His 101 defensive rating is near tops in the league for guards. His absence in the starting lineup is noticeable.

Randle doesn't want to play with Mitch and KEMBA, i promise you that's his major issue. He supported Kemba's benching, and he knows mitch keeps him from getting in the paint and causes him to get double every time he's within 5 feet from mitch.

Go back and look at why THIBS was let go in Minny, and see how it's playing out exactly the same in NY. BUTLER WANTED OUT, and was traded to the sixers
