Dude there is no ANTI CAM here
I think your missing the point.
The KNICKs need a pg and a more versatile BiG man as oppose to a 3-D wing that you can't use anytime soon.
Need does not always correlate into what other teams are willing to give up. Also, we don't yet know if there are other moves in the works or not. You seem to only be focused on the here and now as if you were tweaking a winning team. 3 years ago the Knicks were at the bottom of the NBA, 2 years ago still near the bottom, last year, much better with surprisingly good results - but still flawed. This is not near a championship roster - so I would think that adding players with downstream potential is a prudent move regardless of position.
The current wings on the Knicks are EF, Burks, Barrett and Cam. Grimes can play the wing but he really is a 2. If you look through the lens of who on the current roster might be here longer term its really only Barrett - and it's questionable if he's a 2 or a 3. So taking a flyer on Cam's potential might make sense as a longer athletic 3. While the longer view might not make sense to you, to others it does.
