Trust me I have spent countless games watching every single thing mitch does and how he impacts the game.
You see him grab an offensive rebound for a dunk and your like YEAAH MITCH, but he is the reason the player was force to take a contested shot.
Its so frustrating to watch Fournier or IQ attempt to drive to the hole only to be stopped between the FT line and the basket because the guy guarding mitch can step right up.
Then it's the 50% shooting from the FT line.. ugly
You might be not to far off. Im sure in your hyperfocus you place great weight on this. I tend to think this is part of a formula that is not working.
My perceived issues.
1. Knicks have prioritized RJ as the man. This is good.
2. Randle is doing a ton of playmaking. Growing pains. Some good, some bad.
3. I have no answer for his ****ty body language and guessing is not fair.
4. Not having Mitch, Noel, or Tag with starting unit on a consistant basis hurts chemistry.
5. The space by which 1248 mentions that draws out rim protectors to Burks and IQ should make for easy baskets for both Randle and Mitch. IQ gets the Ally opps to a down. Hill OBI but Mitch cannot pop out for a 10 footer……….
6. Randle gets no easy buckets. He has the ball alot so I get that, but he is not getting free’s up. This I put on Thibs.
7. EF effort on Defense has been great this month. No issue with him there. In fact im encouraged by his play the last few weeks.
8. Taj is not as effective. He is the 3rd center and when rested gives us some quality offense. But not of late. Look at his game with DRose.
9. Sims can fly. He has not offense like Taj. He is raw. Our 4 centers defensively are ok. Its the offense and this is where Thibs and the team needs to reformulate.
10. IQ off the bench is just fine.
11. Kemba needs to go via buy out to a contender.
