From what i saw at least in last night's game is having IQ out there even with Burks allows both to handle some, but not need to be the general. Also it helped that RJ was handling a lot. I would be good with IQ in the SL as long as EF goes to the bench.

Until Kemba is back, IQ should start. He’s better in that role than Burks. Burks brings a different level of impact to the bench. He settles things down and takes over when needed. As a starter he’s just a guy. Quickley doesn’t seem to have the drop off as a starter , but obviously is a great bench piece as well. Ideally we have them both off the bench.

What's the better role for IQ's development? That's what I focus on.

Last game was the first I can recall that IQ kept his dribble in the paint, most all times before he picks up his dribble and gets in trouble.

Who cares if he starts? IQ finishes when he is playing well.

IQ gets to practice his PQ skills again lessor opponents - who he is still not dominating as a PG - than he would in the SL.

Why rush it?

The problem is IQ is just too good off the bench. Starting and making him a full time pg could destroy his rhythm as a shooter just like it did with Burks (who should also be coming off the bench)

Knicks should start McBride
