Atlanta lost too.

Atlanta is now 15-18 too but we just passed them in the standings due to being 2-0 against them this year.

A lot of Knicks fans are forgetting how our Knicks of 2020-2021 started off the season @ only 25-27 after 52 games last year.

After 52 games last year our Knicks were...

A.] Two games below .500.
B.] 8th seed after 52 games.

We expected to be cellar dwellers last year and two games below .500 was a good thing.
Get a taste of success and we miserable.
Every “Hating media” and the Vega oddsmakers had us at or near .500 for this year and with a bunch of teams nearing parity it was laughed at that Clev could improve, or washington, and “bulls can’t guard anyone” meanwhile we fans had us clinched for 4 seed or better.
Im suprised by wizards and Cav’s for sure. Also that Pacers are not bouncing back with carlisle. Boston still is baffling even to itself. If Philly had Simmons or value in return they would be better. The parity thing is for real and its why we are still very much in the mix.
Covid Omricon was not foreseen.
Its why there might be a silent moratorium on trades.
Turns out fans are still going to the games and players can now return after 5 days if vax’d. Silver was correct to not suspend season. Im not saying I’d be happy if I was forced to work and get sick, ,but im not in my 20’s either.

(as we were heading into Christmas day).

#1 New Jersey Nets: 23-9.
#2: Chicago Bulls: 21-10.
#3: Milwaukee Bucks: 23-13.
#4: Miami Heat: 22-13.

#5: Cleveland Cavs: 19-13.

(Cleveland might begin to fall down the standings).

But this (below) is where it gets BANANAS.

#6: Philadelphia 76ers: 16-16.
#7: Charlotte: 18-17.
#8: Washington Wizards: 17-17.

#9: NEW YORK KNICKS: 16-18.

• NY currently holds a tiebreaker over Boston.

#10: Boston Celtics: 16-18.
#11: Toronto Raptors: 14-17.
#12: Atlanta Hawks: 15-18.

ATLANTA HAWKS ARE THE NEW, NEW YORK KNICKS 😅

■ 1.0 out of the 8th seed Wizards.
■ 2.0 games away from the 6th seed 76ers.

Detroit fans might be enjoying their tank season and rooting for ping pong balls and loses because well, 5-27. As NY fans. We remember them days.

Thankfully Knicks fans of today are only 4.0 games back of the 5th seed (and with still another 48 games to go).

Detroit? 14 games back of same 5th seed? Season over before it started for those guys? We remember those days.

Chicago (21-10, 2nd seed).
Vs.
Atlanta (15-18, 12th seed).


Miami (22-13, 4th seed).
@
San Antonio .


Charlotte (18-17, 7th seed).

Indiana.

Boston (16-18, 10th seed).
Vs.
Clippers.


But the only game that truly matters:

New York @ Detroit.

Win tomorrow's game and the standings will look prettier, NY will be riding a 3 game win streak into OKC, looking for 4; and back to .500 we go (from 4 games below).

these next 14 games all look winnable.

Only two teams above. 500%

Charlotte and Cleveland.

Remember last years late season 9 game winning streak? Don't look now. But NY could be within the verge of a monster run (W-L wise)

Yeah, I'm not so sure we have to pay attention at this point. The important thing is since Kemba came back the Knicks are finally starting to build an identity.

Yes. New York is only 2.0 games back of being a top 10 team.

It's not only wide open in the East but the entire NBA is wide open.

Knicks are less than 2.0 games away from an NBAs top 10 record. Covid protocol has made young talent and deep down depth more important than ever before. Its kind of wild.

Boston lost to Clippers and Atlanta lost to Chicago. Both Hawks/Boston could be in trouble.

We gained .5 on 4th seed Miami, game postponed.

Still 9th seed.

.5 from 8th seed Wizards.

1.5 back of 6th seed Philly.

3.5 back of 5th seed Cleveland.

And 5.0 back of the 4th seed Heat.

nuts.

And look at these next say 12-13 games. Might not be 9th seed for long. I think they can catch both Cleveland and Miami for the 5th/4th seed.

Despite those two loses in a row without Julius Randle, our NY Knicks are still right there and in the playoff hunt too.

#1 Chicago Bulls: 25-10.

If NY can somehow manage to go no worse than 6-2 during our next 8 games; those two games against both Cleveland/Miami will have us in position to put us back on the map here in the East.

The Knicks have only had one bad stretch run this year. A 2-8 slump from November 30th-December 14th because outside of those 10 or so games NY has been as good and just as consistent as any team in the East this year; remove that 2-8 slump throughout a 10 game span and we're #1 in the East right now..

Theres only 2 teams fully healthy the Knicks wouldn't have a chance at beating and thats the Bucks and Nets. Would any of you be scared of the Bulls and Heat in a 7 game series?

Knicks ruined a good opportunity yesterday.

A.) Lost to Charlotte. We could've both been 23-21 with a win but now we're 2.0 back of them.

B.) All of Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Chicago, Milwaukee and Toronto lost yesterday (and we could've gained a full 1.0 game on all of them).

That was a good opportunity wasted.
