Don't remember TT being anything like Obi.

TT was a legit 6'10" SF before that was a thing. He could have been an all-timer if he has a head.

Dude shot well over .400 from 3 as a Knick, before 3's were what they are now.

Had all the talent in the world. There is nothing he didn't have the ability to do. He jus didn't have the drive and/or the IQ.

This 1000x

Disappointing when I see the "old heads" forget how good some of the older players were.

Has similar build and explosion to Marion and he is starting to give you some diversified O. Marion created a lot of turnovers with his length, so that's the next step

I don’t know what happened in the first half but if he had two similar halves— where he was involved— that’s like 24-11-3-2-2

I still think he is similar to Boris Diaw but Skinnier.

I was really impressed by Obi’s handle in that last preseason game

Obi can be a secret sauce to the team. The only thing I said about EF and Kemba is to play better---nothing else. 1 down 57 to go

Last night he certainly showed how he can impact the game in a positive fashion. I've thought we could certainly go small with him and Randle on the court together.

That team?

I’m very excited about obi Toppin
Obi makes us a different team. I’m thinking he takes both Randle and mitches back up minutes at some point to get him to 28-30. He’s gonna be great.

I’m glad ev played well— that’s all knicks fans wanted. Grimes will be a part of this team down the way

That's good and fine, as it should be.

But Obi Toppin was a member of the team you **** on for most of November and December of last year, and not just for their performance in those months, but again, you declared they'd never win.

So you completely whiffed on the potential of the Thibs-Randle-RJ-Mitch-Noel-Quick-Burks-Obi-Taj core, right? You didn't see any future in that group.

I mean its all a matter of public record, so that's a fair question, no?

You post what you like.

You've made some good observations about the players and games in the past but the majority of what you respond to is really only grind on other posters syntax and types of arguments. It gets old and really about nothing.

You're entitled to your opinion.

What they are about in my opinion is the most important thing about professional sports - which is small sample sizes suck in an atempt to analyze professional sports.

I'm always surprised a how hostile people and forums are towards that fact, apparently because many sports fand find it less fun to NOT react in the moment.

Anyways, perhaps I'll consider pissing all over teams and players that try hard because they have a bad game or their careers don't start out ideally.

Or maybe I'll start a lot of half-formed, 3/4-sentence posts on any thought that enters my brain, as those kinds of posts seems more tolerated here than mine.

oh for phucks sakes...

So long as we are having an "I love Obi the most dick measuring contest" I ate vaseline and went streaking down the quad on draft night so ya'll can get in line

Obi got a lot of hate and I just dont care. Kid checks all the boxes. Works so hard, wants to be HERE, is earning his time under Thibs and his offseason work looks legit.

Obi having a breakout year really changes how the team looks. He's been a straight up impact player on both sides of the ball in preseason and now game 1 vs. a very good Boston team. Obviously its early but I am rooting hard for this kid. People strangely seem to focus on the 1 or 2 possible shortcoming he may have vs. the 20 boxes he checks

I find that premise less charming than most.

Its basically an admission that no one is really talking about anything if the idea isn't trying to find facts or common ground.

If it's all just everyone throwing their irrational wishes or personal demons around, what's the point?

Like I say, I get that some fans find it whimsical, just lost on me.
