Most fans agreed that he look shaky all last season when he was relied on to run the point, then he came into SL looking the same, so of course ppl are question "what's the purpose".

I'm glad he had a bounce back game, but it's clearly obvious he's a scorer and that's his mentality.

he's a rookie and most 'point guards' need extra time to develop... I think we all can agree that he isn't a point guard *yet*

Focus on what he does well and afford him some time to develop his game. Chauncey Billups is the prime example of not giving up on a PG prematurely

this is the single best use of the summer league I have experienced as a fan. This is when you should be trying to get guys come in and expand their games. Frankly, Toppin should be getting some minutes at SF and C too, just to find creative ways to get him into the game

He’s a scorer first but so are most of today’s PG. Steph, Dame, rose, kemba, harden, kyrie etc. they all want to score first with only a few exceptions.

In his post game press conference he talked about how much he learned from Rose and how excited he was to learn from Kemba. Can't ask for anything more.

“Most fans”……Yes, he looked underdeveloped as he was not playing it in college.
“People” are not questioning “what’s the purpose”. Thats you getting all “Rainman” with an idea stuck in your head thinking others think like you do.
You made the thread bro, you made the label. Not “people”.
All we know is IQ is working on his PG skills. Even after a 31 and 8 dime performance nobody is proclaiming him a PG. Maybe do that at age 24?

Yep, its a “Bullshyt notifier”. I post when he makes shyt up the tries to cover. I have not posted much in a few days prior to today but when I smell BS it need be called out.
It’s disrespectful to paint opinions as facts. Clowns wear make up for a reason.

IQ is a “combo guard” and can play both backcourt positions
IQ is not a PG
