Chandler wrote:cavs have the two worst IMO

1) signing J.Allen for 100 million when they picked Mobley.
2) they seem to have gotten too greedy with Sexton (thankfully as i didn't want him) so they again have an undersized backcourt with the added tension of Rubio

Pelicans get dishonrable mention as well. Zion must be scratching the days on the wall and dreaming of his exit

Pelicans got 3 firsts for Holiday and needed to use 1 for offloading Bledsoe and Adams (plus trade down from 10 to 17) and another pick to downgrade from Ball to Graham. That’s horrendous.

Countdown to Zion coming to the Knicks.

I think its more likely we get Ingram back in a trade that gets Zion's bestie RJ to pair up with him in NO

hope not, want to keep RJ

Allen decision not that bad if you think Mobley can play down to 4, which a lot of people think. The #s are what's head scratching. They'll be looking to get out of that deal in two-years.

JA is actually pretty good, and makes our Noel numbers look fair.

Dennis, wow. bad move. Wonder if he has to sign for a midlevel exception or such somewhere. Denver? GSW? Portland? Dallas? Clips?

Yes, terrible for a guy that shoots close to 50% and averages 20pts every year of his career.

He’s awesome and always overlooked. He also played the 4 for the Spurs which he can for the bulls. Home run signing fort them

We’ll be trading Randle and picks for Zion in 2 years

Randle signing that sweetheart of a deal, actually makes me feel bad about trading him for anyone else. Before that extension though, I was a heavy advocate for trading him ASAP.

What were the Warriors suppose to do? All their money is tied up into 4 players and they can't trade the 4th player (Wiggins) because they need his salary to facilitate a trade for a potential star. Can't really dump Wiggins either because he's actually become an integral member of the team.

I promise you this will be an average salary for this level of player in 3yrs.

Remember the 124 mill melo re-sign for in the height of his prime (22 mill per) by the time that contract ended, it was the average salary for tier 2 players..

$28 mil per for a 33 year old slasher who comes off the bench and can’t shoot? If that’s average I want to be weird

I think they tendered that contract to prep for the loss of Lavine, either through trade or free agency. I'm no fan of DeRozan but he's a reasonable facsimile to Lavine for those 2-3 years if that turns out to be the case. Even so, that number was stupid high. Who were they even bidding against? And then to trade a valuable pick to facilitate the trade is even more dumbfounding.

His fg% is high because all of his points come off layups and drives to the basket. Remind me what % Derozan shoots from 3?

Bulls were bidding against themselves. That’s why he picked Chicago. That was the only team that offered him big money on a long term deal
