I have faith that our FO is very much in synch with values and a path to secure what they have in some fashion. For all we know the the path to improvement might be a step back with a longer view, or a starphuch ramp up with a 2 year window. Who decides? Not us. Not even logic that Leon & Co. bring. Team owner decides just like any other franchise! Yikes!!
My only point is that Mitch is a better prospect than Noel and the difference is significant enough that the Knicks need to resign him. I do trust Leon Rose and the other decision makers. I also do agree that we should not rush the process, and I would not be opposed to no big FA signings this offseason. I think the team will naturally improve with the growth of RJ, Quickley, and Toppin. But I do see Mitch as part of the future and if we can lock him for 3 years at $10 million per year, the. I see that as a solid deal for us.
