![]() I know all but perhaps a few of us would love to see Frank do his moth to butterfly thing and emerge with some inspirational music and bust that little shyt up and drop 15pts on them.
Harper? What the **** is that? Somebody spit balled that? Pinson? Dude can use throw some chops at him and beat him with his personality. Likely? If a change is in the mix Burks starts. But.........Thibs has his issue with Payton but most everything is working! I Very much can see starting Frank but he on a short leash. At the same time he can always put Payton in off the bench if Frank does not have it. Issue with Payton if he seems to have lost his lift which is flattening his shot and he is getting everything blocked. NO reports of injury which makes the “Payton sucks balls” comment, while sophomoric, might be accurate. |

He’sa whiny entitled child who couldn’t handle that he wasn’t given more on the ‘lowly’ Knicks. ![]() Fish, I’d start Burks. Go to Rose early if need be. Rose has embraced and excelled in his role. We really just need someone to hit their shot, Randle is going to make most of the decisions

![]() The first 5 minutes are token minutes for the PG in this team. Yes, we all want Rose there, but he has a nice thing going and I can understand Thibs sticking with it. So why not Frank? Let RJ be the primary distributor along with Randle doing his point-forward thing.

![]() IQ
1. He’s already in Thibs rotation 2. Played very well game 1 3. Matches up the best against Trae and Lou Williams |

![]() Uptown wrote:Rose played 38 mins in game 1. More mins than Randle, RJ, Trae Young, Boggs, etc. This idea that Rose should be coming off the bench doesn't hold much sense anymore when we see him entering the game at the 8 minute mark of the 1st and 3rd quarters to inject energy into the starters and help dig us out of a hole. If Rose starts, he can get the proper rest that he needs as opposed to coming in at the 8 min mark and playing 18-20 straight mins in each half. Rose is too old to play 38 minutes. It showed last game has jump shots looked flat he didn’t have any left in his legs I’d start IQ and give Frank 10-12 minutes off the bench. Keep Rose fresh and keep Elf on the bench where he belongs |

![]() I voted for Elfrid but the more I think about it, the Knicks should go with Quickley. He's not a great playmaker but I feel he is more suited for the role than Burkes and Rose is doing a great job coming off the bench. I don't think you mess with that.
With that being said, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but Thibs may need to start finding time for Frank. I'm not completely benching Payton YET. I'll demote him to second unit, maybe 8th man, and see if going against the opponents role players is more his speed but if that doesn't work out and he is just completely SHOT, I need to have Frank warmed up and ready to go for game 3. |

More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.

![]() ramtour420 wrote:blkexec wrote:So will there be a game 3 starting PG thread? So Rose is just a plug and play, whenever Payton plays bad? That's been the current strategy so far. But it's time to change that and the proof is in the 2nd half. So Thibs no longer has to play politics 🙄. He can now and should have always played to win, especially in the playoffs. Payton strong point is his defense, and that's starting to get exposed in this series. This my 1st time agreeing with others in this forum. But its time for a starting PG change. Which upgrades quickley as the leader of that second unit, along with Burks. Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland.

Would rather they hold Rose a bit longer as first sub as he is showing some wear and tear - allow for his impact against the Hawk's second unit to be even stronger. Go from there and game flow will dictate who is on the floor for most of Q4. |
