I’m sorry I missed he was a free agent but really even better. We don’t need to spend 30 mm on one pg. I’d rather spread it around give olynck 13-14 Payne 6-7 and then we can just draft. We need another big bat — a guy who has all around game—- olynck would be the right price
Probably not "deep" bench big, but it should be noted that his skillset doesn't quite fit in our starting 5. Yes, Olynyk can play PF and C and brings a much richer attacking arsenal than our centers, but Randle takes most minutes on PF anyway, and since from center Thibs is looking for a good game in defense, which Kelly doesn't really bring.
He would be OK from the bench, but as this season has shown, it may be better to have a center that can replace the starting center with a skillset when he's not there, because that segment is quite important for the game that Thibs wants. I want to say it would be great to have Olynyk as an option from the bench, but it’s not very realistic to tuck him into this roster.
He has been a bench player throughout his career, except this season.
