I am ok with the pick. He is an exciting player. However, I would rather we picked Kwity Paye or Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. I understand the pick. We need help with the offense.

Giants getting all these shiny offensive weapons for Danny, but I sure hope we trade or sign some quality O-line help or it's going to be another long year...

doesn't seem to be much left in free agency though...

I am actually happy with our OLine. I think right now my main concern is depth at the Guard spot. I have high hopes for Thomas and Peart. Gates at C is a god send. I love Lemieux warts and all. The concern is Hernandez. Can he make that switch from LG to RG.

I would really like for the Giants to select Quinn Meinerz with the 3rd round pick.

Saw Giants “lost” the draft (CBS Sports) after one round. Got a fine WR prospect, and have six rounds to go. And that Bears #1 for next year could be a goodun. As for the Jets we shall see about Wilson but building your trenches is how to win in the NFL history shows.

Very funny

Jets went small x3—we needed more explosive type players. I prefer the big guys but we went in a direction so I’m happy with that. Jets have been to the playoffs less than the Knicks the last ten years — Asian zero

Bucs ended up getting Trask in the second round. Brady knows the job is his for as long as he wants it (Not the Pats). Might be more willing to mentor his eventual replacement. Hoping anyway Might be the best place for a project QB to land. Also got an edge rusher. Not a bad haul.

Getting another wideout, in spite of getting Galladay shows the Giants FO is giving Jones a chance to succeed. He'll have some good targets for the deep ball next season. If they arent getting him O-line help, they better teach Jones how to better evade getting sacked. Throwing the ball away.

I want to hate on Gettle****er but I can’t. The Eagles got our guy but okay they gave away a fair amount. With the other trades, Giants have an extra 1st, 3rd, 4th. If Daniel poops the bed, we certainly could trade up next year. They ended up adding so far a guy who adds a different dimension on offense, possibly the best edge rusher, a guy who will be our nickel cb, a guy who really dominated lower competition on the edge...

I know none of this is given but I thought this was a good draft

Also, is it the fact that someone is a Knicks fan “implies” he is a fan of a particular team in another sport or is it completely random?

And one more thing, although this is not the case with NY fans, it's always strange to me when someone is a fan of an NBA team from one city and at the same time a fan of an NFL / MLB / NHL team from another city. That's something quite unusual in Europe.

There are way more giants fans in the NY area than Jets fans. They have won more. Their fanbase however seems less passionate and less knowledgeable. Giants fans complain if a game is on at 4pm because their drive back to westchester is too long. Their overreaction to Eli Manning getting benched a couple years ago was hysterical considering he had been playing horribly for years but the last time they paid attention he won a super bowl

Jets fans are very passionate but also very dumb. Check out the jet messageboards. Zach Wilson is already better than Tom Brady, because Chris Simms said so

First, Gettleman showed with this draft that his team really comes first. Clearly this is his “to be or not to be” season, but he hasn’t recklessly gone all in but has gathered picks for next season when he may no longer be Giants GM.

Trade down is ok although at the time I was hoping he would take Paye and not Toney for whom I’m not quite sure how he’ll handle the NFL. But that’s why the next pick is really steal. Ojulari was often projected in the first round and picking him with 50th pick is a really great thing. I also like Robinson pick, now we are really loaded in CB.

Similar to Gettleman, for Jones this is the “to be or not to be” season and it's sure that now, with the arrival of Golloday and Toney and the return of Barkley, we will have many more offensive weapons. Another quality OT would come in very handy, but we have what we have.

Interesting take, a lot of generalization, but interesting.

The outcry for the benching of Eli was due to him being benched for Geno Smith. Who had no future, and sucked all the same. Eli is still a Giants legend who won multiple epic SBs. Who had a consecutive game streak going. When you bench him, you don't do it for a player like Geno Smith. If they benched him because they had a replacement ready to go, or needed to get his replacement reps for the future. Then that's one thing. Nobody batted an eye when he was replaced by Daniel Jones.

Giants also failed to capitalize on Eli's prime years by whiffing on Oline help and early draft picks. But that's all old news. Looking forward to this upcoming seasons and this upgrade roster.

Even though I’m not a giants fan I’ve always liked Eli. Yes they did waste the last 5-6 years of his career with bad personnel moves and hiring lousy coaches like McAdoo

I don’t think either of the local teams giants or Jets will have a good season. Both teams are bad. I’m not a Joe Judge guy I think he’s bad for Daniel Jones. Jets think getting rid of Sam Darnold is the magic billet that will fix everything
