From the guy who asked 'Will the Nets own NYC?', I now want to know if you think the Knicks are a top 10 team in the NBA?

I say YES! absolutely. They have the 10th best record in the league, are one of the best if not THE best defensive teams, as the news is pointing out somehow they became a top 10 3P% team (how the eff did that happen?), RJ keeps improving, and Randle is currently playing like we wanted Melo to play

Any truth to the rumor that they are going to convert the Post Office across the street to a Leon Rose, Tom Thibodeau, World Wide Wes museum, memorial, and shrine? Should I stop slurping the koolaid? Second round or bust!!!

yes
no

It's not just THIBs, it's his entire staff. You got stars in this league that has given a lot of the credit to their success base on 2 of our assistant coaches.

We haven't had roles define on any of our rosters since the 54 win season.

Randle, Taj, Alec, Rose veteran leadership have been priceless..you are not winning without that, been saying it for yrs

And for all the Fans that were getting upset (when thibs was hired) because They knew he was not going to rely on no young players to win... I'm still amazed at how some fans still would prefer to see knox and frank play than continue doing what we're doing..

Nobody saying these things around here.
Don’t be “SMH” pretending you some wise sage either. When you losing all suggestions of youth is becuase other things not working. Nobody complaining about Yoot not getting minutes.

And sip the kool aid. You'll get less gas.

By the way, Melo did play this way. With less.

Melo did NOT play this way. Show me how.

The season he led the team in assists. Forget which one. Melo is looking more like that player in Portland. In a reduced role.

2015-2016 - 4.2 APG. Playing with Noway Calderone, Aaron Affable and Langston Hughes in the backcourt.
Oh wait, that's right, Lou Amundson was on that team! And some Latvian moron.

There are 6-7 teams clearly better but after that its a hodgepodge and you have put the Knicks in there for their win total and for their defense. They have an identity, they are getting better, they are young, they are deep, they win games.

I voted no also.

We're 4th in the east by a hair. I look at the west and think their top 6-8 are all better than us, at least as measured in a 7 game series.

We're right there - but I worry that this is a bit of lightening in a bottle. Thibs has got guys playing out of their mind. Is it sustainable?

When the play offs start, other teams usually have another gear to go to. I think we're already in that gear!

That has been a criticism of guys like Riley when he was here, JVG - they get their players to play during the regular season with play off like intensity, and when the play offs start, their already burnt out and don't have another gear to get to.

their top 6 probably are the top 3 in the east surely are but after that there's no clear cut choices. Based on that I think the Knicks squeak in. I dont think the Knicks are punching over their weight. This feels about right. They are young and will continue to get better with time.

I voted No but there is no doubt the Knicks are clearly top 15 and will be top 10 next year barring injury.

Knicks have won the injury and covid marathon so far amongst teams and just feel like record aside, Miami and Boston are better.

Feel like Thibs was my #2 pick after Atkinson but after the hire was super happy because of his NY ties and closeness with the FO.

I give them both an A grades so far

Not really.

Utah
Pheonix
Philly
Brookyln
Milwaukee
Denver
Portland
Both LA teams
Miami

And you have to consider the fact a lot of teams have been dealing with injuries like the Pacers, Atlanta, and GSW. The huge positive is that out of all of these teams, we have seem to have the most going forward.

50+mm in cap space
3 draft picks in a draft I'm very excited about despite how low some of our picks will be
RJ Barrett is 20 yrs old!
I think Toppin will come back a completely different player next year
IQ and Mitch. Nuff said.

The Future is Bright!
