Hoping he can end the year with atleast shooting splits of 44/37/75 and gun for 46/39/80 next year with more variety of moves in his arsenal. I have confidence with dree hanlen that he can help RJ with this.

Finally the knicks have a star in the making IN RJ, without the baggage the normally comes with it.

RJ is awesome and hit two clutch shots in two games. That takes time for 95% of the league.

Jarret Allen and Lonzo would be interesting in the offseason. I love Mitch, but durability is a big question. Those two are both good defenders. We need to hit on shooters in this draft and that a pretty strong team going forward and Allen would be tradable.

Would the Wizards be open to Toppin and IQ with 3 first for Beal?

A bench of Frank, Mitch, Knox and Gibson with that team could be very interesting.

As much as I can see the Pelicans not matching a certain type of Lonzo contract, I can’t see Cleveland doing the same with Jarret.

Remember pundits clowning the Knicks for "losing" that lottery? There is no question of the level of talent of Zion, and Morant could indeed end up being the more valuable of the two. I do not watch Zion or Ja and don’t know the dynamics of what is happening at a team level so am left to look at the stats. Which guy has gotten better over the course of their 2 seasons? Which player has the most room for improvement?

Have Zion or Morant made their games better after an extended offseason as much as RJ has? Statistically, Ja hasn’t really changed and is shooting worse across the board. Zion, for all of his athleticism, doesn’t rebound as well as I would expect and is playing the same overall game so far?

RJ seems more readily built to outlast both guys in terms of games played and minutes in a season. Ja and Zion have fairly glaring injury risk potential.

I think it’s prudent to ask: RJ got much better last offseason, why haven’t the other guys?

Time will tell.

Ask Hanlen what Barrett will look to add to his game this coming summer and the trainer to the stars quickly lays out a multi-year plan that will touch on every aspect of Barrett’s offensive arsenal. This coming summer the focus will be on adding the ability to shoot threes off the dribble and on the move.

Part of Barrett’s improvement this season has been focusing on taking advantage of open catch-and-shoot opportunities. The next step is to be dangerous either coming off screens or pulling up off the dribble against sagging defenders.

As well, more attention will be given to adding some shiftiness to Barrett’s dribble-drive game as defenders have to honour his shooting.

Finally – likely heading into his fourth season –the goal will be developing a more varied package of shots to finish at the rim in traffic.

Ambitious. If he can maintain his current splits while adding that to his game thats a close to a borderline all star.

I would have loved to hear RJ work on finishing at the rim first but whatever works. I think he'll be an all star next year.
