He did a great job though in a tough situation. I felt he earned associate head coach role but I understand bringing in Bryant and Payne the main focus was player development at the top of the assistant coach ladder so I get it. He could have been there in place of Woodson but it's fine either way.

Yeah, Frank, Kevin and (no longer) Dennis have been developing very nicely riding the pine behind such superstars as Bullock and Burks.

LOL! You are blaming Thibs for Frank, DSmith and Knox's poor development? You really think those guys should be playing over Bullock and Burks? Both have been very good role players... DS was terrible. Frank had one good outing then as per usual became unavailable for a month with a sprained knee that didnt even happen in a real game (practice) and Knox played his way out of minutes

Not the point. Thibs didnt turn them into stars either, so why hold that against Miller in half a season? Miller has a track record of developing, "coaching up" players. A good rep in that dept.

Also showed he was good with Xs and Os. Also thought his time with the franchise, his success with the org. should have been rewarded. Its an old fashioned concept these days.

In the end the FO wanted a name. I still am concerned about Thibs leaning on some players too much but overall Im pleased with the progress. Hope Miller gets a full season as head coach somewhere in the league.

"(Thibodeau's) attention to detail is unbelievable," Randle said Monday night. "We go into games so prepared, like every game is a playoff game. That's how good he is. He's a complete culture-changer for sure. He's held everyone accountable. We're all enjoying the process."

miller is nothing more than an assistant, who can assist in the development dept.

He was over 10 games below 500, should that be rewarded with a contract?

And his predecessor was 15 games under .500 just 23 games into the season

The Knicks also had some impressive wins under Miller. Heat, Pacers on the road, Rockets

I doubt Thibs decides to come here if the team doesn’t show any potential at all like it did under Miller

And I never argued Miller over Thibs I just thought Miller did a good job under the circumstances

Miller did a great job under the circumstances. He got another very good job because of it. good for him.
He might even keep growing and who knows, maybe becomes the greatest coach this side of PHil Jax but we don’t know that.
Thibs, warts and all is a proven entity. His warts no doubt had to be discussed and he had to gain some level of responsibility for them and how he plans to address them which he seems to have done to gain favor and get the gig. Also Thibs has a tree and a culture of followers as evident by the staff under him on the bench.

Seems as if all are living happily ever after.

LOL that's cause you don't know Thibs very well. It's his dream job regardless of who is on the roster when he signed

I would love to hear Berman or someone ask Thibs if that truly is the case.
