Right now Randle is playing like an all star version of Anthony Mason.
He’s gotta keep up the good work. I’d rather be happily surprised and keep him longer term

no way... I said when we got Thibs and the whole UKY staff that Randle would be one of the people to benefit. He's the same player he was last year just tweaked. He passes a bit more and shoots a bit less. He's always played hard and has a good handle for a big. He's a good ball mover and strong as hell. His shot is streaky at best but he's very good around the basket.

He's absolutely an NBA starter but he's like your 3rd scoring option and not much of a floor spacer. He's got some warts but he plays hard and fills the stat sheet. He's NOT a 5, offers no rim protection and not much interior defense. He's not a great fit with Mitch, but Randle is the better player so there's that (for now).

Randle would look GREAT in Portland

I'll admit he's playing better and I'm glad, because he's increasing his trade value

Since the OTAs in September, the Knicks coach has raved about Randle’s leadership. The quiet Texan didn’t seem much of a leader last season – first out of the locker room after games.

The pressure was on, too, after signing a three-year, $60 million pact. Only $4 million is guaranteed next season.

Last season, Randle gave detailed answers on having to adjust to double-and-triple teams for the first time in his career. It never happened with the Pelicans or Lakers, where he was a lottery pick.

that is the biggest change i seen in him, and this team desperately needs leadership more than any thing.

My hope is that Him and Peyton can bring that Leadership, and so far look like they are taking those steps

Randle is not a franchise player. Last night the franchise played well and he shined because of it.

On two Cleveland who we slapped around preseason but is 3-0.

I think he poses a "problem" for our future if he has actually turned the corner as a player and is able to play like he has so far.

He is only 26 + a month. No reason to think he doesn't have 4-5 very good years in him, barring injury.

With Obi looking quite pedestrian at this early stage of his NBA career, we'd be foolish to pencil OT in as our future PF at this point.

Randle is in shape...and he's making good decisions for the most part. The number of assists he's getting are a revelation.

To paraphrase BRIGGS, if he works hard, and what we've seen the past 3 games becomes the new norm for Randle, there should be no reason to shop him at the trade deadline, and many reasons to keep him around beyond his present contract assuming he wants to remain here and if the numbers are reasonable.

Randle is under a team option for next year. We have him locked up all this year, and next.
Funny, Randle is a “Mills” guy! Rainman must be asking himself all kinds of questions.

No, we not out of the “woods” yet after just one win. Bucks took us for granted. Nets took Hornets for Granted. 76ers took Clev for granted.

Randle is playing much better on the offensive end this yr. He's no longer a turnover prone black hole. He's moving the ball when doesn't have a shot, taking better shots is more efficient. Hes a team player this yr. Although hes giving more effort, hes still a liability on the defensive end.

I love Julius. I think he was a really good signing. I don’t see how we retain him long term, so I expect him to be traded this season. When we do, we’re not getting better like some people think.

One game at a time.

Literally everything went right

I would give credit to Thibs and the coaching staff first and all the players second. Thibs effectively out coached Bud yesterday.

Before we start planning on keeping anyone let’s get a 10 game sample.

I think the Randle praise is more based on 3 games plus his improvements towards the end of last year. He did get better after Fiz, and seems to be justifying that now, but it's still early as you said.

I don't think anyone sees him as a franchise player, the question is whether or not he can be part of the solution.

I liked him back when we signed him. And then there was Fizdale and the spinovers with theeeee looooosing. But this Randle that we see now is a much better version. Randle 2.O will take your lunch money and give it as an assist to his teammate. Internal player growth is such a majestic sight to behold.

I like him too, I just wasn't a fan of the team makeup. But my opinion continues to be that if we fix the PG with better outside shooting and quality playmaking than it makes everyone look better. And in today's game, spacing issues does the opposite and makes everyone look bad.

I think Thibs was the best thing to happen to Randle. Dollar for dollar Randle is worth it and I would not think of extending him right now. When the trade deadline comes around then lets talk about trading him or extending it.JMHO

UP until last night many were harping he was the problem. His cap was treated for months for every trade scenario and somtimes as a dump.

I said before the season started that Randle was not a bad PF if he cut downs on the turnovers. He is actually average more turnovers (3.0 v 3.7) this year but it does not look as bad because he also doubled his assists (6.3 v 3.1). If he can stay at 6 assists and get the turnovers down to 2, as well as continue his decent defense, he has a chance to really get to an All-Star type level for us. 23 pts, 10 rbs, and 6 assists is All-Star type production. Thibbs is getting Randle to play to his strengths without him trying to do too much. Having an improved roster probably also helps as Burks has been the truth, and RJ is playing better than last year.

He fit well with Porzingis
