No way! Play the way you’re supposed to in games. 1-2 3 s in rhythm ok. Taking 32 foot 3 s in a game. No way. I want dunks and lay ups

I disagree, shooters shoot thru their misses, Pre-season is for working on your all-around game and weaknesses, to say don't work on your game is wrong. His three-point shot will open more space for his inside game.

I think he took 8 shots and 6 were 3s. No way shouod that be allowed preseason or not

Disagree. Obi is probably the second best 3pt shooter on the roster.

I'd say Burcs, Spellman and maybe Rivers are better. Possibly Iggy if he ever gets to play.

so... should we run the ball to Obi every single time down the floor into the post? Doess THAT make sense? You understand there's 5 guys on the floor yea? You also understand if Obi just hangs where he shoots best he clogs the middle. So you know.. when RJ (who is also better at driving than shooting) attacks the basket Obi's defender isnt there hanging around. Thats why Obi moves out to spread the floor and why he shoots the 3.

This is how basketball works. If you dont have the ball you space the floor. I can see why you are confounded Thibs hasnt figured this all out yet. Its been 2 preseason games

Thibs is clueless. He is lucky to have Briggs. Its not like these coaches break down film or anything.

Amate avg almost zero 3 point attempts. I understand he can shoot it— but you’re not going to be anything close to amare standing 30 feet from the basket.

You are taking the position that Obi will only sit on the 3 point line and do nothing else. It's silly

I doubt it too. I’d put him at the 5 if it was me

Yes, yes it is. Cause it'll pull a big defender out of the paint. And when Obi starts to hit those shots he can put the ball on the floor and watch a defender fly by him and dunk on some dudes or find a wide open teammate when defenders have to rotate.

This is modern basketball.

Bro has got to hit them of course but the assumption is he won't go 1-6 every game.

If the ball is rotated or kicked out to him within the flow of the offense, he has to take the shot, and has to feel comfortable doing it...The only way to feel comfortable doing it is to take it .

With that said, he has to hit the shot. He showed some proficiency in college, so I assume he will do the same here at some point.

Too early to be overly concerned at this point.

They could start Obi at the 5 and Randle at the 4 since the real GM Isiah is so worried about his prized signing getting stats and playing time. I know that’s a bad defensive lineup but it’s our best offensive lineup if Quickley is playing pg

This way Mitch can still come off the bench and play 30 minutes a night and stay out of foul trouble
