Going to be more opportunities to trade Bullock, Noel and Burks and if we keep the cap space open we can get another first. Teams will want out of luxury tax as well.

They watch how other players come here and get worse, they watch how we treated KP and Melo, they watch coaches careers get shattered, they watched Oak get toss out of MSG, and spike get harassed for petty sht, they watched our BS development program, the instability.

I cant believe that some of you are not the least bit concern about repeating this process over and over again. Put together a YMCA squad and hope we hit the lottery...3 coaches and 2 presidents have been fired from this franchise in 5 yrs for the same process.

The 100 Million dollar we gave Amare was a bad contract, but he attracted tyson and Melo and felton, and phil comes in and has a fire sale

Melo (HOF) resigned for 22 mill (at the time seemed like a lot of doe for him) - 3yrs later players were signing 40+ mill per deals..

Cp's contract is so bad, yet he's been traded twice

We can't get a break in the lottery result, can't land a premier FA.

The sht is sadddd

were the ugliest team in the league and restrain from spending money

Basically How are you going to be cheap and ugly?

God help Us...

Your whining. Its kind of pathetic really.
So who “rejected” knicks? Who thinks of Oak and Spike and walked away? Haywood? Please. Do you know why nobody is concerned like you? few think in terms of knicks like some poor victim.
Knicks created this and in the past tried short cuts.
Knicks are being smart. You might not like this front office because you link them to others. Thats yours to do what you want with.
Frank was a rookie three years ago, not four. 2017 draft. Get over yourself.

. 1248 makes me laugh more than anything. We all want to win immediately but we can’t make a panic movie which will hamstring us in the future like Westbrook. Rose is doing the right thing. Adding as many draft assets as possible and building through the draft. Keeping cap flexibility so they can go after the players they want. Obviously they ate t going to always get their targets as we have seen but that doesn’t mean we should make a panic move

The knicks want players that don't want them. OKC is accumulating assets, while we just let 5 solid role players walk for nothing so we could sign noels and burke...

I know there's more to come, but you know deep down these moves aren't moving the needle and this is looking exactly like last yrs movie

Who are these solid role players?

He means Bobby Portis, who signed a deal $11M cheaper than the one we gave him, and Elfrid Payton, who came back and re-signed for $3M cheaper. Or Maybe Mo' Harmless, who took a drastic pay cut on the open market?
Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right. - The Tick

NOBODY relevant WANTS TO COME HERE regardless of the money, we are not an option

4 yrs ago we landed frank in the lottery (does that seem like a long time ago) you could have paid him 50 mill per and it wouldn't have matter because we blew the money on BS players on 1 yr deals anyway. and we were in the lottery every yr.

Cap flexibility means your a losing team with no stability

You're right no one wants to come here. But unlike you I see this is a positive. It means the wont have the chance to do something foolish

Look at the options:

Westbrook 132 mil for three plus whatever assets we have to give up. Do you want to that? I certainly don't
Heyward 4 years 120 mil do you want to do that I certainly don't
VanVleet 4 years 85 mil do you want to do that I certainly don't
The Knicks are slowly building the talent base RJ Mitch, Now Obi.
I happen to think the Knicks will do a lot better than people think especially with thibs as the coach
But even if I am wrong it means they get another lottery pick to add to the triumvirate
Rome wasn't built in a day Rose did just fine for his first off season

What is Leon Doing that's different from the last 2 presidents that got fired?

Why did Phil get Fired? Wanted to trade KP. Not exclusively. We been thru all of this.
MIlls? Not sure why he got fired SPECIFICALLY. General suckatude perhaps?
Look at all that Leon has established by his hires. He had a plan. Thats different.
But PHil did too.
No games are played no the roster is not set, so your kind of having a hissy fit without a complete roster.
But if this is it then Rose has no Melo to figure out, No rose or Noah. So thats different. Given your short sighted nature I sure this does not float your boat.

Well unlike Phil he's in the building and awake.

Truer words have never been spoken. LOL

Stat attracted Melo? Now that's a newsflash.
"Hey Jimmie, Melo. Yeah, I was leaning toward forceable rape on Brooklyn, but watching Stat dribble off his feet on those un-insurable knees, now THAT'S something I need to be a part of!"

He probably would have traded 2 unprotected firsts and Mitch for Westbrook 😂

All I'm saying is in order to be an attractive destination you have to win, in order for your youth to develop winning habits, they have to win.

What good has come from putting together a losing squad but instability and a disappointing draft spot.

The deals being sign are cool, but if none of them are going to take us to another level, what's to get excited about.

Obviously you hope for the best, but cmon this roster is barely a 15 win roster currently constructed, with a wk away from training camp.

Nothing about Talent Levels?

But, lets look at a few things.
“What have Leon done that others did not”.

Does Topping the National player of the year who carried the Dayton flyers to national high ranking not have winning habits?
Does Quickly, the SEC player of the year not have winning habits?
Does Thibs, Johnny bryant, Walt Perrin. Not have winning habits?
RJ from Duke. Possess winning habits?
Does Brock Aller and Perry dealing to get picks in teh future. Not creating assets to draft or trade for Winnig habit talent?
Nothing could have been done up until the draft, so in the span of a week we have all of this. Not a starphuch dream mind you but we have no business paying some of these FA’s money at this point of roster development.

1248, you do not possess the ability to rate NBA construction “Winning Habits”. I don’t either, but I’m not the one saying it lacks. I’m saying its encouraging. we might agree that winning is better and creates momentum.

I'm not too excited about paying 5 million dollars (Ed salary) for 3 future 2nd round picks that may end up being at the end of the draft. How much did we pay mitch? and how many 2nd rounders actually pan out.

It is what it is dude, i really don't care at this point, I'm just voicing my opinion
