This is a trade that will be revived, I hope we can get 1 Martin from this--a solid role player

Only name on that list that intrigues me is Russell Westbrook and only as a salary dump

I think Westbrook or Rozier-i think I prefer Rozier- (either for a package including Randle and DSJR) would be nice, especially if you add Haywood. If you could add a semi productive vet as a swing forward off the bench (Melo?), and another center (a guy like Baynes), that is a hell of an off season.

Mitch/Barnes
Obi/Melo
Haywood/Knox
RJ/Frank
Rozier or Westbrook/Quickley

Melo I only wanted to bring here as a stretch 4 which is what he is now. We are still PF-heavy with Obi and Randle (who I doubt Rose can get rid of)

I wouldn’t sign anyone significant (not that anyone is coming here anyway). Just stay way under the cap and play the kids RJ, Mitch, Obi, IQ and Frank

Payne brings in Wall. Clearly need a clean bill of health. But Walls speed and passing will help Toppin and Robinson. Not saying it’s a champ squad, but

Wall
Barrett
Hayward
Toppin
Robinson

Would be good for the young players development while winning some games.

It’s funny how earlier this year Walls contract was radioactive like Westbrook....even more so....but since we have all acclimated our minds to Rose first making a CP3 deal...then devolving to Westbrook.....now Wall....it is crazy....

The point guard we bring in here objectives

1. Be the floor general set tone
2. be a mentor to a future pg we pick
3. Lead us towards a playoff spot
4. Mentally strong a dog
5. Fit in with our guys
6. Passionate about his opportunity to be here.

Rozier
Carmelo Anthony
Taj gibson
Joe Harris

Remember we only have 35m left

So mello and taj we can get discount

Also by taking Harris could still have cap space to pick up another guy you like or bring back someone we released like Wooten or Dotson

I think our best option to maximize our cap space and built a team to compete for a playoff spot is to trade and sign a pg using Randal and dsj

I think Haywood would be a great addition but his salary would limit things.

we are just looking for wins this season. Closer to an 8th finish. Joe Harris mello taj and rozier would put pressure on that 8-10 finish for us.

2 more draft years. Get a game changer pg or bpa game changer or use picks for a high level player in a few years.

Westbrook is not needed unless you just personally like his entertainment value and Haywood contact would limit us.

Bertans would work very well with us.

Where did he go to school again?

You're wrong. It's obviously going to be Wall.

Just so you know, I was joking.

Bledsoe is a baller, Rosier maybe too, but they both are on a road to nowhere. I would rather try a system without a clearly defined PG, with RJ, Frank and DSJr all handling the ball. Maybe some Toppin too. Like in a triangle offense, ironically, our current roster is custom-built for it, but Jax is gone.

Bledsoe cracks under playoff pressure though, so I'm not sure how he'd manage under the glare of NY

A name we keep forgetting is Reggie Jackson. He was decent in Detroit. He likes to push and while he's not the best passer, he's not the complete dumpster fire in that category he was when he first entered the league. A deal around the MLE should do it.

I'll believe it as long as it's not Isola. I think Shams might've posted something to that effect.

The father has been very quiet last few years. Let LaMelo have his night, without trying to upstage him.

Rose is a savvy exec. Made a career on personal relationships. Also believe Lonzo read his father the riot act, lol.

I think Rozier is a dog. Can defend and score. Would love to see him here. Reminds me of Childs.i was hoping they got him last year.
