I’d rather have Lonzo even though I hate his overall offensive game as of now.

Interesting why?

Obviously Giannis is a generational talent so that's the price you pay to keep him happy, but they put all their chips in and then some for this core of Giannis, Middleton, Holiday, and Bogdanovich. It looks good but let's see how things come together for them. They will still have to resign Holiday too.

Milwaukee was the best team in the league record-wise for the last 2 years and they upgraded, and now they have a playoff contending team. They had to mortgage and it's the smart play.

Got to shore up depth on bench but they'll nab a few vets who want a shot at a finals baring Harden to Brooklyn.

Obviously we talked about Bog with this group, but looks like they didn't need him. But man he would have been awesome to add to this group. It's a great run for this team. They can compete for many more years. The challenge as i noted before will continue though, they will need to figure out how to keep getting better.

I guess the moral to the story is if you're fortunate enough to land a franchise player (Out of what? A half dozen maybe?) you should go for it. Even better if you got that player in the draft. In the mid first round.

In hindsight,,,,,,,,,,,,,LOL, Good story! Bobby came up big after benched in the Net Series and the team was fortunate in all aspects. Injuries matter and Brooklyn got hurt. It happens. Bud went from getting likely fired and perhaps Carlisle takes over to sticking together thru a tough Atlanta series and Giannis healing knee. Jrue was a bulldog on defense and made some big plays!

I can’t fathom they repeating but thats another story for another day! Very likable team and they played super hard.

I think the real moral is to make the players on your injured list are worse than the players who are out for the other team Luck is the intersection of preparation and opportunity.

yeah these days the super team that's healthiest wins out. There are 8 teams that the league are legit contenders, give or take... comes down to who's healthy. Its why resting players makes so much sense and also ruins the product. Im glad they are keeping the play-in, I think it was fantastic. Teams fought down the stretch and games mattered and you felt like there were injured teams that could be hot and dangerous late and I love that Darkhorse team

Is there also a changing of the guard here? The best three players of the past few years - Lebron, KD, and Steph - all puttered out with their teams way short of any finals. All affiliated with the “Super Friends” phenomenon. All looking back at thirty. While acknowledging the greatness of each, I also hopefully bid a fond good riddance to super team titles.

Can’t say Durant was anything less than prime time. That Kyrie has not had a full season since 2016 is a piece of it. Harden Hamstring was just bad timing. Still they took Milwaukee 7 games and over time. Durant hit the game winner but his foot was over the line.
Toronto snuck one in with Kawahi.
Injuries play a part and GSW can come back if they surround Klay and Steph with firepower.
Lebron was playing MVP level but AD had another injury year.
Yes, there was a changing of the guard. Giannis figured out how to make others better and they won!
Next year it could be Philly if they can realign around Embiid.
Booker is a star but not a superstar. The experience was extreme. It was their first trip to the playoffs as a unit.

Jrue was the right player for them - leadership, defense and a reasonable 3rd scorer. He can be very inconsistent with the shot, but he brings good intensity all the time and was the right personality fit for the Bucks.

When he played KD was prime time.
