The easiest is that he probably shouldn’t hold the ball as much. The second is that the team desperately needs outside shooting. Ntlikina, Barrett, Robinson and Randle on the court at the same time really lacks a bit of spacing. Ntlikina and Barrett need to develop their shot. New NBA pretty much requires more of a flex-PF that can step out to the 3. This doesn’t seem like Randle. So, whoever suggested backup C is probably more right than wrong.

Sadly, the most honest answer is that he is likely the filler in our next trade for a disgruntled star. But, he has the ability to change that by taking steps in his development to become a solid two way player. He has the athletic ability, it’s whether he has the developed skills. He is only 25 so no one should be thinking him as anything other than a strong athletic young player that needs some polishing on his game.

If the game plan is to wait around for a disgruntle star, we are in trouble.

The game plan should be to call every team in the league and see who's available their roster.

I like Randle. He improved when Fizdale left. I like his outside shot. he forced things early, especially.

Look at his 3pt shooting in 6 games in march - 462%

Don't tell me he can't be a threat from there - small sample, but they were finally starting to play as a team.

He's a #3 talent asked to be a #1 because he is the best talent on the team.

Add a 1 & 2 and he works just fine.

We have to build something. He's ok, let's fill in the holes on the roster- #1 has to be PG- a real PG turns Randle into a lethal monster on the offensive end.

RJ develops, Mitch develops.

No spacing, no shooters.

Randle could have passed the ball off in many instances in many situations where he created his own problems. Part of it is on Fizdale, part of it is on Randle.

Randle does not make good decisions on the court. He needs to be in situations where he reacts instead of being asked to break down a defense. It's like Keanu Reeves outside of action movies. He's a great action star, but once you put in some drama, it falls apart.

It's OK to have a guy who can't make good decisions, but that usually only works with a guy who can play way above the rim.
