I do t think u can ever draft someone in the late 20 s with a pencil in to start them.we may have the least talent in the league. Right now we need good players. We’re not 1-2-3 players away unless LeBron is coming

Plus reed has triple threat two way skills. I like him

Agree with the bold. With our first pick, we need to select the best player available. If the best player available when we pick is a pg, so be it. I like Hayes and Haliburton as prospects but I'm not in love with them...

Top 5:

1. Wiseman
2. Edwards
3. Obi
4. Onyeka
5. Ball

Each of the players above have at least 1 if not multiple skill sets that will translate at the next level. Wiseman and Onyeka's ability to protect the rim and finish above it...Edwards athleticism....In a spread offensive set and with a good pg, Obi will average 20 easy, especially with his ability to score out of the PNR which is Amare-like. He also plays defense like Amare...And Ball's elite passing ability and size at the point. After those 5, its a crap shoot.

Late lotto/just outside the lotto sleepers:

Isaac Okoro: High energy lock down defender who can guard multiple positions. One of the strongest and best athletes in this draft. If he can develop into an just average shooter, he will be a stud and probably steal of the draft. Love the way he plays..

Tyrese Maxey: He plays down hill which I love and is a really good finisher at the rim. A really good on ball defender and plays with lots of energy. He's a better shooter than his numbers say, just took too many contested shots. He needs to get drafted by a coaching staff that will take the time to help him develop because the potential is there....If he can be taught how to be a better play maker, he can be a stud.

Devin Vassell: If we fall outside the top 5, the Knicks should strongly consider taking him. Could trade back and get him. A really good spot up shooter and an even better defender. Great combination.

Why does he looks like he is shooting his jumper on the way down?

This offseason is becoming more and more interesting in my eyes. Granted that the draft is considered a weak one and the free agency class is not that deep as well but if the front office plays their cards right they can set themselves up pretty well for next year's loaded draft and star studded free agency.

That said, i think the key will start with hiring the right coach, i hope Rose follows through with his head coaching criteria/wishlist and hire someone who can nourish and develop our core youth. From the interview, it seems that Rose hasn't given up on both Frank and DSJ if he gets a coach that can bring them out of their shells, maybe Atkinson the way he developed Spenser and D'Angelo Russell. I don't think its necessary to draft a pointguard it the draft.

Maybe getting a PG is not actually a must. Maybe we can get Deni or Okoro or Vessell for the high 1st round, Paul Reed, Jalen Smith or Jaden McDaniels for the Clippers pick and Bane, Woodard, Nwara for the 2nd round pick.

If in the end the front office will still look for a PG, lets go after Van Fleet in free agency, a young but established point guard to lead this young team. Also go after Gallo for the veteran presence that fills the need for a shooting bigman.

This may set the team up to make a splash in the 2021 draft and free agency.

Both are good prospects but right now I like Halliburton better. I want to keep an open mind up to the draft. I really don’t want to rule anyone out

Agreed on both accounts. I rank Haliburton slightly above Hayes because of his defense and he's a better shooter. Also, I'm hopeful the Knicks are not locked in on drafting a pg with their first pick if a better prospect is still on the board.
