I’ve heard lots of negative things said about James Dolan across my time, but never “racist”. In last 20 years, Knicks had either black president, GM or coach in all but 3 of them. And for nine seasons straight. I don’t get Oakley’s “plantation” remarks.

Mr.Berman, you do know one can be racist, regardless who he hires. In fact, some of the most racist political figures, will purposely hire a diversed staff to cover up their racist intent. Is Dolan a racist? I dont know. But this article doesnt prove anything to me.
Back to Dolan and Spike Lee....the 10 million dollar customer who should be part owner with the amount of money he paid Dolan. It's stupid, dumb and doesnt make any sense why Dolan continues to feed the media, fans and especially future free agents.....with negative press. Why hire a PR guy if you not going to use him. On the day of a huge win. And the Rose hire, Dolan is still fighting trees, without seeing the forest.
Who cares which door he goes in. Be happy you have a fan still willing to pay top dollar. Especially if he allegedly used that entrance for over 30yrs. Slap him on the wrist... tell him he cannot use this entrance moving forward. And let him sit down. It's that simple. Especially since they already scanned his ticket. Dolan shouldve came to spike with extra tickets and said dont worry about my guards, they just doing their job. Please have a seat Mr. Spike Lee. Put some respect on Spike for his contributions over the years, just like he would or should do for any stock owner north of X amount of dollars and influence.
REGARDLESS if Dolan is right and Spike is wrong. The customer always has the upper hand, especially when that customer is Spike Lee. Somebody need to slap some sense into this man. Hes his worst enemy.

The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!
