I’ve heard lots of negative things said about James Dolan across my time, but never “racist”. In last 20 years, Knicks had either black president, GM or coach in all but 3 of them. And for nine seasons straight. I don’t get Oakley’s “plantation” remarks.

Mr.Berman, you do know one can be racist, regardless who he hires. In fact, some of the most racist political figures, will purposely hire a diversed staff to cover up their racist intent. Is Dolan a racist? I dont know. But this article doesnt prove anything to me.

Back to Dolan and Spike Lee....the 10 million dollar customer who should be part owner with the amount of money he paid Dolan. It's stupid, dumb and doesnt make any sense why Dolan continues to feed the media, fans and especially future free agents.....with negative press. Why hire a PR guy if you not going to use him. On the day of a huge win. And the Rose hire, Dolan is still fighting trees, without seeing the forest.

Who cares which door he goes in. Be happy you have a fan still willing to pay top dollar. Especially if he allegedly used that entrance for over 30yrs. Slap him on the wrist... tell him he cannot use this entrance moving forward. And let him sit down. It's that simple. Especially since they already scanned his ticket. Dolan shouldve came to spike with extra tickets and said dont worry about my guards, they just doing their job. Please have a seat Mr. Spike Lee. Put some respect on Spike for his contributions over the years, just like he would or should do for any stock owner north of X amount of dollars and influence.

REGARDLESS if Dolan is right and Spike is wrong. The customer always has the upper hand, especially when that customer is Spike Lee. Somebody need to slap some sense into this man. Hes his worst enemy.

Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland. The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!

Some low level’ish ticket person was asking Lee to use a different entrance, why do you keep writing it like Dolan was personally escorting Lee out?

For some 30 odd years staff at MSG have been treating this guy with velvet gloves right? And the one time they ask him to use a different entrance He throws a hissy fit, lies about the owner not personally coming down at half time to shake his hand and then goes on TV to complain about it? All because MSG put out a statement that he used the wrong entrance?

I hate to say it but the childlike attitude of oak and spike is what the media should be going after not Dolan who in my opinion is just doing his job. could you imagine if Jack Nicolson pulled that at the staple center!!! . Oak was drunk and being a a idiot totally deserves getting kicked out. and spike after repeatedly being asked to not take the employee elevator, just the arrogant attitude of privilege by spike when your asked to not to do something anymore but continue to do it because you feel entitled because your Spike Lee lol and then when Dolan comes to talk to you to stop doing it you disrespect him and give him a attitude, no offense but what a jack ass.

I know Dolan is probably a ass, but both oak and spike are undoubtedly in the wrong and hanging on dolan’s bad reputation as a owner the media has painted So they look better for acting inappropriate this is a bunch of BS. Both oak and spike owe our Knicks and the city a big apology... shame on the both of them

Both the Oakley incident and the Lee Incident have something in common... Both Lee and Oakley were more interested in feeding their egos than simply attend a basketball game. They have been milking their small moments in the limelight since... Frankly it is the most media attention either has gotten in a long time so the strategy works I suppose.

What puzzles me is why we should side with the rich self-entitled fan who refused to use the assigned entrance for VIP fans. Seems like a simple request... But there may be insurance or safety reasons to keep fans and employee entrances separate... It is a business after all... Spike getting all high and mighty attributing Dolan for the situation is like one of us complaining about the president when we have a bad situation TSA airport security...

Charles and Spike should concentrate their efforts in keeping their egos in check and perhaps embrace a more humble way of life.. they may even be happier for it.

I for one will not let the events precipitated by two fools affect how I feel about my favorite team...

Think this is all a lot simpler than everyone is making this out to be. How about the premise that all the participants are spoiled, petty immature *******s that don't like being told they are wrong and hate not getting their way?

Unfortunately, to thread point, our owner is one on them. Could care less about Spike or Oak being the others.

However, I currently like that *******. He fired Mills and brought in someone that may change this **** show.
