Also note that in the G-league, the most dedicated players there are scraping and clawing for their livelihood. The competition is real and they want to win too!
It depends. I think getting smoked by Mook in practice everyday is way more valuable than getting 30 on some fringe dude from D2. I realize the competition is real, but the talent, for the most part, is not. There is no real answer, I guess. Depends on the situation and player.
Playing against guys 10x better than you is not a always a good way to get better, or everybody would skip college and the G league would be a waste of time.
I bet you any amount of money that if iggy is here next season, he will be better than knox
Yes, depends on the player and situation. Trevor Ariza credited his improvement to getting smoked by Kobe every day in practice. It's not a zero sum game.
I guess you can look at it as every player responds different.. Knox doesn't play with a high amount of energy consistently and his IQ is low as hell...plus whatever it is we are doing with him right now, it's pretty safe to say, IT AIN'T WORKING, time to try something different
Frank can't shoot, and it's pretty embarrassing to be in the league for 3 yrs getting consistent minutes and haven't scored more than 18 points ( and he's only done that twice) in any of the close to 200 games he's played in...
All mitch can do is dunk on the offense end, in this DAY and AGE where centers are shooting like guards on a normal bases, he's scared to death to shoot a jumper regardless to how open he is(just 5 jumpers in 116 games played)
If these are not grounds for G league stints, it's no wonder we are far behind the rest of the NBA in the development dept..
