I was looking for the Mike Miller appreciation thread to post this - through 30 games, he is 12 & 18. That puts on a 82 game season for 33 wins.

I will be pissed if he is not back next year.

not me. it's not like he got to install his stuff in training camp... i think all things considered he's done quite well. the roster is a dumpster fire. look where the team is at now versus where wet fart fizzle had them

I don't think this roster is a dumpster fire. I like the team. We certainly lack talent, and an impact franchise star - but these guys are gritty and don't give up.

We lack outside shooting for sure. And we have no clear cut starting PG.

But my god how wrong were many of us about Fizdale.

I liked him, I thought he talked a smart game. But any professional Coach that uttered a statement in support of him after the Knicks fired him should be forced to admit they were wrong, or Miller is the second coming of Greg Popovich.

Fizdale was so out of his league. And I should man up and admit I was wrong about Fizdale.

when your 4 pf shoot better than your pgs it's a dumpster fire

we traded him so we fixed that!

one criticism I think that is more than fair to lay at Perry/Mills feet- they should have retained Mudiay.

Given the # of question marks at PG with DSjr, Frank & Payton, one more that had actually performed here was not a lot to ask.

You have this with the benefit of hindsight. You go in with Mudiay, Frank and Dennis vs. Payton. Elf was a proven commodity with starter minutes. Mudiay in Utah has kept elevating but thats also do to him in better shape and he is on a much better team.
Elf was the fall back and he did hold up to his expectation. Dennis has not. Frank is improving. Its not a great situation by any stretch but at the time the logic was there. Knicks did good with Mudiay.

He might never get a head coaching gig as they are few and far between but should be at very least a well compensated assistant or go to a div 1 school with a decent size program. He has earned his chops and I think will be ok somewhere. Maybe could be assistant back here if the opportunity presented itself. He has earned respect. Knicks gave him a great opportunity. We got a three game winsteak and have won without RJ and one without our "Best player' in Morris.
Hard for a fan to quantify how to measure both him and the rest of the staff. Canales the others have some good cred. My hope is they are seen by Rose as quality guys and kept if at all possible. Bring in a guy like Calipari I would not expect all to stay, but I don't find anything egregious about our staff that warrants firing.

Calpirai isn't coming here dude he has lifetime contract at uk they love him over there. The only way calpirai comes back to the nba has to be a warriors type of situation kd, klay thompson, and curry type of players.

We have his superstar Kevin Knox. Maybe he can make Knox not the worst player in the nba

Solid coach. Seems to have the players on his side. Think he is doing what Fiz always claimed he believed in but did not do, "throw the ball out there and let the best players fight for spots". Like that he has shown that he will go with the hot hands in every game. Most don't realize how hard it is for a coach to win when you have so many players on the roster that probably want and have been accustomed to more playing time. That is usually hard for most coaches to overcome. He seems to have done it and is winning. Would like to see what he can do with a more tenured roster of better players.
