When you have holes in your game you will always get inconsistent minutes, and will always be trade bate.

It's also about fit and system, which is more important than anything, one of the main reasons the GSW traded DLO.

If you can get a player that does what Frank does and more, or what Mitch does and more, or what knox does and more, do you hang on to these players just because you drafted them?

i am replying against my better judgment

the short answer is everything else being equal you do hang on because they have familiarity with the teammates/system better than a new comer and that has value

the longer answer is your criticism is inane. Every player (even Lebron) has flaws. It comes down to value because we're salary capped. You want more talent/$. By way of comparison. Marcus Smart is making 12.5 million this year compared to Frank's 4.8. Capela is making 14.9 compared to Mitch's 1.55
(to be clear these are for comparison only -- not saying Frank = Marcus, etc.)

they are not our problem. of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and as the old saying goes "there is no pleasing, some people" something you may want to consider

If everything is equal of course you don't make a lateral trade, but if you are lacking in a certain dept you make a trade to balance your roster.

The problem with frank is he doesn't show it every night it once every 10 games on his offensive production. If frank scored over 9 points game more often i wouldn't have problem with him.

and yet he continues to be one of the better NET players on the team.

Frank has a ways to go on his shot but I've always thought it was fixable and one of the simpler of things to add to a player's game.

But his effect is on those games and the other 9. That's what Martin is trying to post is that while his offense struggles, his effect is pretty darn good. I'd even say t his 15min thing is likely due to his groin injury which we can hope gets better with the break coming up.
Over and over, its the things you can't see.

What is obvious is after 3 years he should be better. That's a rally cry. There then is "but he is only 21". You have a player that is really really good at everything but shooting. Its a big "But". LOL.
Mills was fired for trying to trade him!!! Just kidding, I have no idea!!!

I wonder what type contract you guys would give frank in 2021 i believe some you guys would give him 60 or 70 million dollars for his offensive production.

Frank is basically the pg version of Jared Jeffries, he might not put up impressive stats or shoot well, but he helps defensively and has a winning impact on the team

I get the point you're trying to make, but my memories of Jared aren't as fond hahaha

Ha ha, you're mixing JJs first stint with his second - everyone hated him in his first stint due to the overpay by IT. In his second stint he was considered a god

Last night against the Hawks on a second game of a back-to-back, MR had a sensational play, too bad I don't have a gif, but he jumped out of bounds and was able to throw the ball back into play to a Knick. He hustles after it with such ferocity

I actually liked Jerome, even though he was severely overpaid and cooked when we got him. I also found Jerome James entertaining even though he just flat out sucked. I don't know what that says about me as a Knicks fan hahaha

During that era Jerome Williams was actually a refreshing change of attitude. BLue collar guy, we were really lacking that and I enjoyed watching him play as well. Jerome James on the other hand was our Pillsbury Dough boy. And that's an insult to the said Dough boy.
