Hopefully Mills doesn’t have a daughter if this is the case.

Long overdue but interesting timing

wow

I'm guessing no move will be made...so it looks like all were going to get from Mook's stellar season is a slightly better record than last season.

oh I disagree... Perry is capable

Remember when Layden was against the Marbury thing? He fires Scott, hires Isiah and that week he does the Marbury thing. I hope this is not a case of Dolan asking perry to do what Mills was against.
cuz Dolan panic's. At this moment we have Dolan driving the bus. Perry is capable, but the question is what is he being asked to do?
What was the reasoning for his firing NOW? Is this because Dolan wants to blow it up with some empty starphuch or Mills was steadfast on another direction that might be fundamentally sound longer term?
Or visa versa?
NO, Im not celebrating. To me its just dysfunction continued. When we settle with a new president then perhaps I'll feel better.

I wonder if the disagreement was over Morris.

I was thinking Perry is "little finger"..........

So Dolan gives us the starphuch hope of Masai and will give up some compensation. The league will make that call.
once a guy wants to go its pretty much a gentlemans agreement.
If this is true, then perhaps Perry goes on the course of keeping assets flexible. One has to hope Ujiri might see the knicks in the current state of youth collection and with picks and cap space as a nice empty canvas to paint his next masterpiece.

One has to hope.

Wow! What weird timing. Is that a good or a bad thing (that it happened just 2 days before the deadline)?. Does it mean he wanted to do a D'Lo style deal and Dolan blocked him because of what his successor might want (like he did with the Teague or Lowry trade back in the day), or did Mills not want to do an immediate gratification trade and Dolan did? Does it mean we already have his replacement lined up?

Feel bad for Mills as a person (being fred is a horrible experience even if you know you'll be fine), but he had to go. Just a bit anxious regarding the timing.

Wonder which of the two wanted to keep Morris vs trade him and which wanted D'lo vs didn't? Guess we'll find out soon enough

I fear Dolan more than I did Mills.

certainly inclined to agree but Nalod is not wrong and if this means Dolan is somehow pulling the strings its not good. We will know soon enough.

The sell the team chants probably had him mad beyond logic. I wonder if this is all going to end up with them saying "We did a thorough and exhaustive search, only to discover we had the right candidate here all along...now please, let us introduce our new POBO...Allan Houston."

If he is already interviewing, how does Masai Ujiri factor in?

Sounds like Perry got him fired for trying to trade Randal for rosier or add Mitch to the dlo trade ....

Regardless this was a long time coming for mills ... I bet H20 just got the keys, if there’s one thing about H20 he bleeds orange and blue . He’s at least going to try to improve this team.

Since Mills rejoined the Knicks in 2013, the franchise is 178-365, the worst record in the NBA, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

Should have been gone right along with Phil..

Now we can start winning.

Perry needs to make that trade for DLO, if he goes for the Rozier trade, he should be fired next

I hate Dolan as much as the next guy... but he's bound to pull the right string eventually. If i don't have faith in that belief as a Knicks fan then i have nothing.
