Why not move Morris to PF and let Knox rack up heavy minutes he is essentially the future of the team. Shouldn’t he be allowed to develop into his starter role.

Except no one is saying that

Did Knox develop "Bad habits"? Did he have the ability to actually play decent NBA defense out of Kentucky but somehow got Lazy with bad shot selection as a knick?
Play with fire and toughness? Isn't that what got him a starting job on the Kentucky team and drafted 9th?

If this was not sarcasm - yes, I do think Knox's habits last year did not show any improvement. There is an adjustment from going to a college star to a rookie - Fiz let him continue chucking all year and rarely benched him. Yes, he's young but why would he think he has to play harder if the minutes are guaranteed? Fire and toughness for a rookie - that could have been Mikal Bridges... Really hope I just miscalculated your sense of humor

Little bit of both.........
Bridges is on the bench this year. I think Knox has great upside. I think his rookie year was segmented. Rookie of the month in December, Hits the wall mid winter, had some injury, got some rest, finished his last bit of the season with better shooting %. I won't dive into the numbers but once Timmy and Clee were gone the team dynamic changed. Yeah, I think fiz let the kid play with less accountability in some spots last year. But develop bad habits? I think Melo was gone by then. LOL!
I think the kid did develop last year but not defensive. I would agree.
Bad habits? I read in college he was very neat. I read now He leaves the cap off the toothpaste and eats with elbows on the table. Bad habits!!!
