what could possibly so nutty that we have not heard about..

Melo is 10X better than lance on 1 foot and one arm...

Did we have any idea Antonio Brown is like THAT before very recently? We just knew he was probably kind of a dick.. If Melo is that big of an ass behind closed doors, it doesn’t matter how well he’s playing. He wouldn’t be getting the Collin Kaepernick treatment if something wasn’t going on. Why is it so easy for Vince Carter to sign with a team?

Vince made himself a supper-efficient backup when he realized that his time to fly was over.
He was a much more superior player to Melo in the time of their prime.
And infinitely more enjoyable to watch.
Melo always made me sleep with his redundant volume shooting and rebounding his own misses 3 times before getting fouled.
One of the most boring players I ever witness. Why would anyone want him now is hard to imagine.

Yeah, I loved sleeping through a 54 win season, where he was the only one to show up in the playoffs. 62 points, boring as hell. Nothing like clutch shots at the end of game to nap through.

And please go on to tell how exciting Lance Thomas is.

Glad you were following Vinsanity through his journeyman years. I was busy sleeping through Knick games to take in all those exciting moments of NBA history.

I was enjoying gritty vets flashback to 90th and Kidd running the show.
Melo was his usual self. One of the greatest scorers in the game and one of the lowers impact star players ever.
This team would win around same amount of games with any other top 20 player at 3 at this time and will be bounced in playoffs when the old bodies fall apart.
Then Melo was no help as no one else would.
Player of his level having just 1 winning season out of 7 with a team is nothing shot of huge embarrassment.
Why would anyone do this with himself... Never get it.

How many winning season??? last i checked, we went to the playoffs in melos first 3(10/11, 11/12/ 12/13) season with the knicks, it wasn't until Mills came on board and it's been down hill every yr since.

I don't see Antonio Browns teammates vouching for him like Melo..

+2 and +6 in short season is not winning. It worst that losing as team is in lottery no mans land.
And of course its all Mills fault. If not him Knicks will be a dynasty...

Right, going to the playoffs is not winning, when we hadn't been there in the previous 6 seasons and 1 out of 7 is actually better to say than what actually is.
Because less is more than more is more. Lowers impact star players. Ever. Riiiiiiiiiiiight. Saying **** for the sake of saying **** is great. But at least try to get the basic math concepts correct.

or are you compiling all this into a screenplay for 1984? 2 + 2 = 5. Check.

i think the Rockets and Thunder experiences have scared off the winning franchises from Melo

The KNicks experience has scared off the losing/desperate franchises

Even Dallas doesn't want him (i.e., KP not pulling for him or not enough influence)

You reap what you sow; that simple

On the flip side, I am happy for Lance. I think he had one above mediocre year for us but he was very easy to like: professional, hard working, etc. damn foot injuries prevented him from doing what he did best (defense)

Would Melo be cool to fill in for Wilson chandler then sit?
Would Melo be cool to fill in for Kuzma then sit?
If he is playing well neither would be as good as him. Could he deal with that?
Maybe this is what is blocking him from landing a spot. He might be looking for a definitive role.

bullsh1t man.

This is why I can't stand Knick fans sometimes. People will say any outlandish thing to fit their delusional opinion about something.
V.Carter was a great player and has done a fantastic job of adapting and changing his game throughout the course of his career but, during their primes, he was NOT on the same level as C. Anthony. Do not let your hatred blind you of the player C.Anthony once was.

Hard to compare. Vince played on better teams with the Nets and went to two finals but way better players.
Denver had some good teams though.
I'd say both were about the same. Prolific but in a different way. All stars but not mount rushmore Gods. Melo a better Glen "Big Dog" robinson and Vince a better David Thompson. HOF.

Hey, there was a point on this board where posters were actually making "arguments" favoring Stephon Morebooty over Carmelo as a Knick.

Good! It would have been tough for me to have any respect for Lance if he stayed on that roster. Hope he lands somewhere else tho.
