Anyway, agree that we shouldnt put too much stock in these kinds of pronouncements. One thing I did find encouraging was how Smith jr, talked about how competitive the players are in practice, the trash talking. I like that there are starting jobs up for grabs, and it looks like the competition will be robust.

oh ****, sorry to hear. Muscle or tendon that connects quad?

Andrew and I have a buddy that tore quad tendon back in Jan and is just almost starting to feel normal after surgery

They told me after the MRI at the hospital that it was a full rupture. Have about a week to have surgery, or there could be issues with my recovery. Hopefully I will know about when Im having surgery next week. Thanks for asking.

It's a slow recovery but you can get pretty much back to norm'ish depending on circumstance insofar as I know. Good luck with it. I think similar to Tony Parker

Thanks Martin. Am very determined when I come down with a injury like this. Recovered in half the time my last doc told me it would take from shoulder surgery. Took some pride in how surprised he was. Started my PT the night I came home from surgery. Am older now, have to keep that in mind. Wont lie, first night was rough, was the same exact thing that happened before my move out West..fish saw that coming, lol. He's right, its all about between the ears.

had a high hamstring tear that was a "bad grade two strain".........
Took a while to heal because of where it was.
Three on the quad must be a mofo!!!!!!
WE all different ages and different places on the muscle is all contributors to healing times. Best thing I can say is "I hope it all goes as best as your body will allow for all the many variables involved". Don't set a timeline based on others. The Doc's and PT's will set some timeline and perhaps that's your only gauge!
Good luck.

Hahahah...Marv forgot the $100 million in bionics his secret benefactor paid for his rehab after the NASCAR crash. Seriously, good luck man. You'll regain strength faster than you know it once it heals.

Thanks newyork. You got that right. Was going to probably miss the first few months of the Knicks season because I was planning on moving to temporary housing, while I found a new place to live. Would have missed Barrett's debut as a pro. At least there is a silver linning in all of this.

There is a new one called, 'per 36' I believe. The host writes for posting and toasting. He interviews Cope in his first pod and apparently they talk a lot about Melo. I haven't listened yet but it sounds like the content is good.

Forgot where your moving to? League pass, $18 a month!
I did two weeks of pain killers. Lucky I shook that shyt right off but you have to have a good care giver and a full understanding to not make any financial decisions. Stay away from any work related things. Good thing is you kind of don't remember things. Bad thing is you kinda don't remember things! LOL

Thanks Nalod, good advice all around. The bolded is old school, NYC, consigliere ****, lol. Thanks. Dealing with a contractor, having to stay more hands on than I should. Have other business decisions to make as well. Will have to keep an eye out for that, pulling the trigger too soon.

Planning on moving to Seattle, in the "sticks" right now, but its too surburban in some ways. Not necessarily a bad thing, under the right circumstances. Enjoyed surburban life elsewhere. Just not what I was going for. Which was a place to chill. Havent had anything approximating NY since I left. Will be nice not to need a car or truck) again. Very psyched about city life again. Have to make sure Im in shape for it first.

Just saw this now. Kick the PT in the azz, Gustav, and focus on the Knicks, NOT the Bucs!

Thanks jrod, thats what I intend to do. Wet steps usually arent a problem. My leg went backwards when I tried to push off, really fast. Then I came down on it. Then I fell down the stairs, lol. No recovering from slip like that. Waiting to find out when I can have surgery. So I can get started on the PT.

Of course the Bucs whiffed on the game winner. Glad I havent renewed Sunday Ticket in a couple of seasons. Glad I didnt cancel league pass lol. Jones was very poised in the pocket, at least from the clips I saw. Cant say Eli hasnt had the chance to keep the job, over the last few seasons. Team did him right. Bucs need a new QB, will maybe start watching then. One playoff appearance in 17 years.
