Im not advocating for KD to go there. But if he does then it might be worth understanding. He wants to be in NY.
Knicks in fact might not want him now he is hurt.
But lets just say everything is equal. And lets pretend to have some objectivity:
My take is there is an blank canvas in Brooklyn. A team with a great arena but no identity. Yet. Respectable team, good young coach, a GM with a long vision and its taking shape. But void of character. Yet. They can be his.
Both can be his. All things being equal are not this reality. The delicious irony is what if Brooklyn Nets win a championship before the Knicks? Not with some no name team like they had this past year, but two bonafide "stars"....>Durant and KI! My fear is not that they do this, my fear is what dolan will do in response. He jumped over walsh to get melo so he could c*ckblock the Nets from getting him. Dolan was and still might be scared of the Nets. Not the glamor or status, its the freaking Cable money! The reason why Knicks are valuable is the league has a cap on spending but not on Cable money!!! Players don't get any of that chedder. There is a pie. Nets want a bigger slice.
Many of you doubt nets this because "its the NETS" and what was, what is, will always be...."
Not sure it works out that way.
Again,, so if you cant fathom this, so be it, but if those two sign with BKN, they and their agents believe there is something is of value.
Not sure what that is, but they will have their reasons.
