Im not advocating for KD to go there. But if he does then it might be worth understanding. He wants to be in NY.
Knicks in fact might not want him now he is hurt.
But lets just say everything is equal. And lets pretend to have some objectivity:
My take is there is an blank canvas in Brooklyn. A team with a great arena but no identity. Yet. Respectable team, good young coach, a GM with a long vision and its taking shape. But void of character. Yet. They can be his.

Both can be his. All things being equal are not this reality. The delicious irony is what if Brooklyn Nets win a championship before the Knicks? Not with some no name team like they had this past year, but two bonafide "stars"....>Durant and KI! My fear is not that they do this, my fear is what dolan will do in response. He jumped over walsh to get melo so he could c*ckblock the Nets from getting him. Dolan was and still might be scared of the Nets. Not the glamor or status, its the freaking Cable money! The reason why Knicks are valuable is the league has a cap on spending but not on Cable money!!! Players don't get any of that chedder. There is a pie. Nets want a bigger slice.
Many of you doubt nets this because "its the NETS" and what was, what is, will always be...."
Not sure it works out that way.

Again,, so if you cant fathom this, so be it, but if those two sign with BKN, they and their agents believe there is something is of value.
Not sure what that is, but they will have their reasons.

Delicious irony my ass. That would be some messed up $hit. When they were the Swamp Nets of New Jeeeersy they almost won and I could honestly care less. This is different tho. First they set up shop right in our back yard , now you propose this BS? I mean I know you are a secret Nets admirer but this is just preposterous. Come on now

Grow up and grow a pair.
Besides, Im not proposing this, IM warning you to be prepared. My concern is not the nets, my concern is knicks reaction. Knicks need to do what they do, not react to nets.
As fans, don't worry about BKN. Worry about Dolan.

Hm, a bit unexpected response. Did I personally insult you? If that's how I came off my apologies. Each person is entitled to have an opinion. I simply stated why I think your statement is a bit outrageous, on this forum of all places. I own up to my words. I will worry about what I see fit.

I always thought of you as a model for myself to look up to when posting. Over the last year or so you have picked on one poster in particular which I personally thought was childish. Whatever, we are all human I guess. I understand that some people don't see how their words might sound to someone else. You put something like that out there tho don't be surprised, it's been a long and painful 20 years as a Knicks fan. It's unfair to blame you for not caring about other people's feelings. I should not have taken the bait. But telling me to grow up ? Not even sure what you mean by "grow a pair" are you trying to troll me even more than you already have with your previous post? Very mature and bold good sir.

Both KD and KI are gamble moves.
It looks out of character for both current Knicks and Nets FOs.
And both can be forced to make this move by market forces.
So whoever will NOT get KD/KI will win.

Weird years later Both teams vying for the same player(s) and in position. Arms race.
Media really walking Knicks over this.
To some degree if Nets sign both, they will be hailed.
If Knicks sign the same they get lambasted.

We are several YEARS behind the Nets development. On top of that the Nets got LUCKY with several of their young players (Caris Levert, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Jarrett Allen). We have no proven players yet, closest is Mitchell Robinson! We shouldn't be pursuing any free agents IMO. Durant is fine I guess since he still allows our young team to develop but hell no to Kyrie.
Rose is not the answer.

I think highly of Knox as well. Inconsistent rookie given the green light showed his flaws, but we saw elements that are valid. I expect the same from Barrett. My ceiling is not as optimistic on Trier or Dotson, but they are NBA players.

IM not down on rumors because I was not too high when they were positive. They were rumors. Can’t get mad on “Knicks blowing it” when it was just speculation. Actually the worst was KP fall from grace. If healthy and he wanted out his trade value whole would have been better. Not AD mind you, but pretty darn good.
