They did it for a guy who gushed over coming here due to his gramps. Didn't work out for any other tram. He kissed the Knicks but first. They just returning the favor.
But this is the type of stuff that guys like KD and agents of stars want to see. Positive moments, players being treated like royalty. KP jealous
Actually, I think the turnabout between Zion and RJB is an interesting plot twist.
Zion wanted and I think expected to go to NY. Barrett likely expected to go elsewhere. KP isn't the only jealous one. I think Zion deeply realizes that RJB landed safely. That's maybe why he didn't push for the Pelicans to trade for him. Zion probably wants to join RJB in NY in some future year.
And I wouldn't sleep on the chance that Iggy will be the starting SF with Barrett if the chemistry is as strong between them as advertised. Iggy channels a little DeBushere in his demeanor.
Another very good draft for the Knicks. I'm not feeling like they need any asymmetric FA signings this summer. What we have might just gel.
It’s a lovely fable but again we have to go to the math. The 85% chance Zion was not going to be knick speaks loud. You can’t know what Zion feels deeply either.
Barrett thought he was going elsewhere is also math. Knicks defied the odds. JR wanted NY over Memphis and tilted it fractionally but Memphis also wanted Morant. It worked out. Good for all of us. Nola is in a great situation. Is he thinking about his free agency yet? Nice thought if he thinking about NY. HOpefully he is not thinking about Brooklyn.
