I'd through everything at Leonard and Klay Thompson. If I strike out, I resign Mudiay to a reasonable deal, same with Mario, Vonleh and DeAndre Jordan. And I continue to remain flexible with my assets and try to organically build up a winner.
Please no Mudiay and Mario. Literally zero upside in bringing them back in my opinion. I’d rather just save our money than do that.
Look - at some point, you need to develop continuity. It can't be a roster flip every year.
Mudiay showed a lot. I think you can plug him in to an 8 man rotation, and build a winner. Is he going to be a difference maker franchise talent? NO, but there are worse players out there.
Mario is harder to defend. I love him, but he looked and played like crap most of his time. But I still like him, see glimpses of a player that could flourish. He needs more time. I am certainly not saying he's the best option- there are certainly better out there - but if we strike out, I'd rather have someone that knows what we're doing, and might be able to take the next step.
Again - this is we strike out on the top and middle tier players.
