What do you guys think?
Sign kd to max contract. Rebuild next season again and be in draft lottery
Pass on kd. Try to sign kawai trade for AD
Sign no big free agents this off season and continue to rebuild without kd

Don’t think Perry is going to just give away money to sign KD. Like Vmart said this would mean Durant plays for knicks starting at 32. Not old old but not young young either to have confidence in injury recovery. Extent of injury is important here. Let’s see what docs say.
Nixluva is posting triangle screen grabs, even when nobody asks - Fishmike. LOL So are we going to reference that thread like the bible now? "The thread of Wroten Page 14 post 9" - EnySpree

But thinking through, unless he takes a small discount AND we're able to get another superstar, I'd pass. Too much like Amare where we get one half of one amazing season, and a crippling contract for 4 years.

I'd through everything at Leonard and Klay Thompson. If I strike out, I resign Mudiay to a reasonable deal, same with Mario, Vonleh and DeAndre Jordan. And I continue to remain flexible with my assets and try to organically build up a winner.

Please no Mudiay and Mario. Literally zero upside in bringing them back in my opinion. I’d rather just save our money than do that.

Look - at some point, you need to develop continuity. It can't be a roster flip every year.

Mudiay showed a lot. I think you can plug him in to an 8 man rotation, and build a winner. Is he going to be a difference maker franchise talent? NO, but there are worse players out there.

Mario is harder to defend. I love him, but he looked and played like crap most of his time. But I still like him, see glimpses of a player that could flourish. He needs more time. I am certainly not saying he's the best option- there are certainly better out there - but if we strike out, I'd rather have someone that knows what we're doing, and might be able to take the next step.

Again - this is we strike out on the top and middle tier players.

I agree about the continuity thing, which is why i don't think we should just keep punting cap space and actually commit to something. My issue with Mudiay and Mario is both of them are low efficiency scorers who need the ball in their hands and can't shoot or defend. We will have at least Barrett, Smith, and Trier who will be lead playmakers on this team and are better off adding shooters and defenders in place of Mario and Mudiay.
