I agree 100% with what you are saying. The Knicks as a franchise has failed its fan base time and time again. I loved that they tanked. It was worth it to add if anything but a position of value in the draft. There was 86% chance Zion wasn’t coming. As for the KD hype all the reading in between the lines and what not. Is most not. Until he signs the dotted line one can not get to excited.
People have lost sight of the mistakes made by Perry and Mills. Now hind sight being 20/20 of course. They could have traded KP last season to Spurs for Kawhi who actually lost NY as a destination. Oh well. But he was injured goods they both were.
Where did you hear that?
Even if true, we'd have to send Clee and Hardaway. Problem is Kwahi and knicks would not be in the finals, something far lessor. Also your talking about a kid who might have just left after the season. Does Durant see him as a good partner?
Also remember you have a kid who only played 9 games and most fans were perplexed by his reactions. Just think, he'd want out of the best run franchise in the game to what has been about the worst?
And what if he left? We'd have what we have now, cap space but not DSjr or two picks. WE'd have nothing. I don't think this team can afford to swing for the fences and miss too many more times.
Sounds like a nice story to pin to hate more on knicks when Kawhi is enjoying a fantastic renaissance but go back 12 months and it was not that easy to see this playing out as hit has.
Even arrogant to think he would have been this successful in the aftermath. Toronto has been a playoff team a few years now and have nice pieces in place. We are far different.
