(his source is usually Lee). Magic definitely seem interested in Frank- looks like that deal was using him to get rid of Lee's contract (T Ross is expiring). Still think we could maybe try Frank for Mo Bamba- seems they've really soured on him (motor, lack of defensive impact, bad hands etc). Remember we met with him just before the draft (in case we decided to do a deal then to move up), and quite a few on the board wanted him. However is he the next Thabeet? He has that giant wing span, but what's the point if he doesn't know how to use it?

Also, Frank makes a lot of sense on this team next year- can play PG, SG maybe some SF, so would be an effective role player if we land Kyrie and Durant. Also like his fit next to Kyrie, but also Dennis Jr if we don't land him.

I feel Knicks are happy with Mitch Robinson and wouldn't look to pursue Bamba. They were probably willing to trade Frank to clear space in order to have the money to sign KD since they didn't have the money available without trading Lee.

If Knicks move Frank it would be for a 3/4 that defends. I could see a Frank for Issac type of deal. If they are shopping Bamba then they are keeping Vooch. They would probably package Bamba with Fournier and get something of quality.

Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right. - The Tick

Weird he’s still prioritizing us, when we’d have to give up what little we’ve got to land him. Hopefully it adds to the indicators that he knows a big FA is signing here.

someone help me out here: Did David Stern "gift" AD to New Orleans because of the CP3 trade? And if so, would it be too odd that if AD landed in NY that NY would move the #1 pick to NO?

This is a question for Triplethreat! (Think he’s the one with the conspiracy theories). I do know that Silver was sitting next to Cuban at the mavs game before we traded Porzingis- hopefully agreeing to give the Knicks the no 1 pick if we traded Porzingis to the Mavs to boost nba in Europe

I want AD. BUT only if we have cap space for another all star. and i don't want to give away all of our rookies. 2 out of 3 is ok if we keep THE PICK. OTherwise 1 rookie plus THE PICK

Get something out of Mathews.

Jordan seems like he could stay and be an impact on a possible Durant signing, so that should be explored.

Kanter must be dealt. Hard to think they can get anything, but they should try.

Can something happen with Mudiay and Hezonja?

One big obstacle: who is buying?

GS is obviously the big favorite. I can see Lakers wanting to get assets because they feel Lebron and some help can make some noise; Houston would be looking for defense (e.g., Jordan) but what do they have that they would be willing to trade that we want; Denver migth want to add something and have wings to spare

perhaps some East coast movement, e.g., Celts might ship Kyrie if they think he's flaking. What does Toronto need that we have, and what would they be willing to trade.

Fairly certain that Frank and Mud "injuries" are precautionary keeping them out of the lineup while looking for destinations.

1. Waive Kanter. He's getting annoying. I'd rather see Big Dick Mitch foul out every game then play Vonleh the rest of the big man minutes.

2. Get whatever you can for Matthews. He's not the same as he was before he got injured but he can still hit open 3s and knows what he's doing on D. It's crazy that Philly/Houston/Milwaukee wouldn't want to give up at least future 2nd for him.

3. Get whatever you can for DJ unless you really think KD gives a crap about playing with DJ.

4. Just play Frank. Yes he's terrible on offense but we're tanking anyway. We kind of already know what Mudiay can do. It's not like playing Mudiay more will give us any new information to make a decision with in the offseason.

He's on a rookie contract, is already a very good defender (a rare commodity in the NBA), doesn't whine about playing time and has potential to become a good 2 way player.
They are happy with no defense Mudiay because he improved on his fourth year. Frank has only played 1 year and a half.
When do these morons will understand you need defense to win big. Offensive minded players are easy to find, defensive minded players not so much.

Agreed.

Cost controlled young players are the most valuable asset in the NBA. I'm fine with keeping Frank till the end of his rookie contract. If he doesn't pan out out then say au revoir and keep it moving.

I'm so tired of seeing the Trevor Arizas, Nene's etc peak on other teams.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

Trade Mudiay and Kanter for picks.

Vonleh value is really high right now. I would see if we can get a 1st rounder for him from a playoff bound team needing a push.

I like Mario. I want to see more. Plus I don't think he has any value right now.
