This team truly can't tie its ****ing shoelaces. How pathetic.

Is KP a better player

Or mills a better president or perry a GM?

This is a joke. Insecure incompetent FO couldn’t handle being called out in private by the best 2-way player we’ve had in a generation

Honestly, the greatest part about KP being Janis's bitch is that they wouldn't talk to Philly. KP was afraid of a rebuild. Well, which team do you wish he was on now?

You do realize KP was gone right? What would you rather have done let him walk for nothing? I mean also let’s calm down about how great KP is. He has only had one good year and even then he wasn’t in the top 5 conversation. We wanted him to stay he didn’t want to stay. Obviously as a big KP fan you are pissed and I understand but this is the reality. We got the best deal we could now it’s time to move on

Franks' already got one foot out the door, and there's been enough written about the FO being split on him already.

I still cannot believe they pulled the trigger this fast on a trade of this magnitude.

Mills/Dolan are the idiots. Are we forgetting that the Knicks signed Noah? Signed Timmy to bad contracts. Contracts that led to cap space problem that they just used their ONLY player with star potential to rid themselves of. You cant make this **** up.

Get ready for Jimmy Butler and Kemba Walker

This. If everything that has been said is accurate, why the rush?? Why not wait closer to the trade deadline when teams really let their pants down. Just makes no sense. Only a Dolan like knee jerk stupidity can make this happen. I knew something stupid was bound to happen. The Timmy signing was the first sign it was due to happen sooner rather than later.

Oh no, get ready for KD, and Kwahmi and Kyrie and AD! They ALL want to play here now! We got IsoZo! Knox's growing pains are almost over! MitchRob is going to lead the league in ... disqualifications!

And I'm sure one of these max guys will be dazzled by our FO into taking a salary cut to join!!!

I sometimes wonder if the fans that believe this are all 15 years old? Just crazy for anyone that has been a fan for more than 5 years to believe anything will change or that anyone will want to be a part of the Dolan dysfunction. Oh well....At least Kyle will start for my Gints next year.

You nasty bastid! You drove that poor prognosticating genius off the board!!! LMAO

And I just can't wait to see who our FO ends up drafting.

Perry: So Steve, what if we call Phil, ask him what he thinks, and then we draft anyone with the exact opposite letters in his name?
Mills: Yeah, yeah... let's get Fiz to call him...

I think this is one of the only things we have agreed on; just how bad this move was. Jimmy isn't coming here. He wants to win, has plenty of money

I suspect we'll blow a slot on Kris Middleton (good player but not max good) and pretend he's Klay 2.0

How about those numbers? The first number is KP's FG% from his 3rd year. The second number are his total rebounds. This is a 7'3 big man we are talking about. That's some weak sauce. KD called him a unicorn, perhaps he should have called him a fairy.

In all honesty, with a good creative ball distributor like Doncic and on a team that has a better offensive system with more passing, KP's shooting percentages should go up. When he was coming into the league, he really had no one-on-one scoring ability. His points came from playing within a team offense: on putbacks and open perimeter shots. To his credit, he developed a bunch of one-on-one moves, which were often effective, but also sometimes bizarre, like watching him at 7'3" try to crossover dribble or seeing him get pushed around by a much shorter defender. With more opportunities to score within the flow of the game on easier buckets, he'd be more efficient, exhaust himself less, and take less physical pounding, thus reducing risk of injury.

Or maybe he has beefed up while rehabilitating his ACL and be more effective at the power post-up game with better % shots.

He did not have any post up moves, the shots that he created for himself in ISO were all 6 feet and farther. Hence the low %. Why ? My guess is as good as anyone's but I'll go with being adverse to contact.

He developed a few, but these were predicated on him shooting over a typically shorter defender. And were quickly neutralized by physical defense when refs allowed it. He could have been a lot more useful had the Knicks incorporated more cutting and passing into their offensive schemes, but for as long as I can remember, our offensive strategy has rarely been anything but "just dump it to our best player and see if he can create something" I guess part of his issue was that despite two coaching changes the Knicks never cared to figure out how to maximize his strengths.

Porzingis wants to win
It’s clear he isn’t about money
Melo was about money
He loved the max money and NY market as being an all star

KP wanted the franchise to show him a plan
He had enough

I’m sad he asked for a trade but I’m even sadder fans defend the FO over this

Not a single other FO would have waited a year to offer him an extension
Every other FO would have been in ré-sign KP mode summer 2018

KP saw a team planning on wishful free agency and saw a team that didn’t really want to develop players and a team around him.

It’s done but a winner does what KP does.
A guy in it to cash chèques and get attention stays in NY regardless how bad they are.

KP hasnt done ****. Melo despite his flaws still gave us some playoff games . At least. He didnt demand a trade,he didnt tell other play ers not to come here, hell he even went to his exit meeting with Phil despite their feud. Im not a Melo fan everyone knows that BUT I respect his professionalism and he wanted to be here. Janis and KP can f#ck eachother.

He did demand a trade to come here, for what it's worth.
