Kevin Huerter isn't a bad defender. He has decent lateral quickness and good anticipation, and energetic.

Rose is not the answer.

25. LA Lakers: Kevin Huerter
Shooting Guard / 6-7 / Maryland / Sophomore
14.7 ppg, 5.0 rpg
Huerter could ultimately go 5-10 spots higher, but the Lakers are a team that has shown definite interest in him. He could potentially provide a Korver type of shooter if he can learn to get open looks and really has the pure shooting stroke that some envision. He wasn’t the most popular teammate at Maryland, so the hope will be that he matures being around pros that take him under his wing.

I had never heard the comment about getting along with his teammates.

Might explain why that Maryland team underachieved with the talent they had.

Guessing that Perry/Mills, will pass on Huerter, if he couldnt get along with his teammates. Last season there were times when the team looked like they were gelling. Thats part of a culture change from the drama.

Id rather the Knikcs make a decent play to move up. Although the new lottery rules could break the 30 year plus record of not moving up in tbe lotto. It coukd go the other way. Unless they're really set on a player tbey believe will be available at 9.

Im very curious as to who Gaines is recommemding.

Frustrating thing about Huerter is lack of tape against elite wings. Looking at Maryland's schedule I don't see that many interesting matchups. I like what i've seen but I wish there was some full game tape where he matched up against an elite 2 or 3. Maryland had some decent talent why were they so mediocre if this guy is so good?

No trading back!

Miles reminds me of guys like Shareef Abdur Rahim, Tobias Harris, Zach Randolph-ish (i know he isnt a tweener to me he just fits) and to the greatest extent Melo. Kinda just looks like a generic soft bodied scoring SF/PF tweener.

You cannot trade down. UNless its too unload enough salary to sign a major FA. The talent goes at least 10 after that its hit or miss. The KNicks will get a good player at 9. Take him and build the core. Add KP in January. Add Irving next summer and go to war.

Knicks need a PG and athletic wing, but really...what good is any position without an above avg pg. At least 20 teams in the NBA have a better pg than us
