Who's better Marbs or B Diddy: I think Marbury is more mature at this point and takes far better shots and relies far less on his outside shot to score. Baron is slightly better outside shooter, but his shot selection negates that. But Baron is a physical specimen at the point. He's huge, bigger than Frank, stronger than Frank and he gets many many steals and lots of rebounds. Though, if we're talking about the kind of PG you win a championship with - I'd go with Stephon.

PG ranks:

1) Steph
2) Bibby
3) Baron
4) Kidd (injured, no.1 if healthy)
5) Nash
6) Cassell (healthy?)
7) Arenas
8) Francis
9) Parker
10) Miller
11) Billups
12) Jamal?

Who cares who's better. Why the hell does Stephon get brought up in every trade scenario. Barring some sort of weirdness on his part, I think he finishes his career here.

I've never been a B Davis fan. I say he gets traded to the Clippers for Elton Brand.

If we're posting our PG lists, I might as well throw in my two cents.

1)Kidd
2)Marbs
3)Davis
4)Parker
5)Nash
6)Bibby
7)Williams
8)Wade
9)Cassel
10)Miller

Honorable Mentions: Arenas, Bobby Jackson, TJ Ford, and GP.

This is the BS I don't like, how is NY a good fit? we have steph and crawford... Now a davis and a future pick for Odom and butler makes sense....
When you can get a player like Davis, you MAKE him fit by moving players around.

who do you move around? we are small enough as it is. Plus I like crawford as a combo guard better than davis.... As good as davis is, what will he give us that crawford can, and davis always seems to be nicked up with injuries....

You trade one of your three great young guards. You're in the driver's seat. You have stars that will help you address needs in the frontcourt.

If you compare them purely on the numbers Davis would probably come out on top but Id still rather have Marbury.Faster and less injury prone.Statistics are important but dont mean anything if you're on the IL.Now if we could get Crawford for Davis,Id do it in a heartbeat, injuries or not.It would be one of the best backcourts in NBA history.I believe it would be worth the risk and if Davis gets hurt,we still have one of the best PGs in the league to hold the fort.

i would pass on Baron Davis now that we have Marbury...i would like to see Crawford & Marbury develop into a nice backcourt for us going into the future...Baron needs to go to a team that is going to need that 1 piece to put them over the top...we need a frontcourt player, not another G...besides, it would take a minimum package of Crawford, Sweetney & Nazr to have any chance to get Baron, which is more than i'd be willing to give up...i think the Lakers, or maybe Memphis are the right fit for him...they have the players to trade as well.

Interesting how we're ready to give up Crawford before he's even played as a trade bait. :)

Injuries:

We know that Marbury has had all sorts of ankle problems in the past--- he's had both of them surgically repaired, from what I understand. He's been fairly healthy over the past 3 seasons, at least based on the number of games he has played.

Baron Davis has a herniated disc that gets aggravated from time to time. He also gets a sore knee from time to time, having torn his left ACL years ago in college... and of course, because of his reckless physical style, he gets banged up all the time, with minor injuries such as ankle sprains/twists, bruised tail bone, back spasms, sore elbow, etc. He played every game over his first 3 seasons, then has played 50 and 67 games over the past 2 seasons.

It's a tough question to say who I'd rather have--- a healthy Baron Davis plays better defense. Both of them received negative press in international play for their supposed shoot-first mentalities... but right now, Marbury seems to be the better player.

Cant fault your argument.I would only add that we have alot of expiring contracts coming up that could help in shoring up our frontcourt. And no Im not anxious to use Crawford as trade bait either but Davis is one of the top 5 PGS in the league and great in crunch time.Him and Marbury together taking turns at carving up the defense would be sick.Im still very excited about Crawford and Marbury becoming the backcourt of the future for this team so I dont want to leave the impression that I want to see Crawford shopped unless he turns out to be a major disappointment.

i have a real good feeling about Crawford...i think he's going to be a well liked player in NY, as long as he does what Isiah & Lenny tell him to & doesn't take ill advised shots like he did in Chicago sometimes...w/Marbury & Houston here, i think he'll play more in control though.
