I remember playing bball in the park, had forgotten I had been taking it when I noticed that I could play longer, more energy. Took a little while to remember I had been taking these pills. Supposed to be very high in anti-oxidants as well.

Some companies tried marketing it for other things and got in trouble, but its claim to fame is endurance. Dont believe its a banned substance.

Please tell me your kidding?

Kidding? I will save that for your 3000 word conversations with yourself.

KP apparently suffered anemia as a child. Some studies have shown that pycnogenol helps increase the oxygen in your bloodstream.

Ive read quite a few studies on the subject over the years, and have first hand experience as well. Believe its a supplement worth checking out.

Thats a great testimonial you gave. You have anemia? Nope. You a pro athlete with a staff behind you? Nope. You a pro who hired a physiologist to work on all aspects of this training? Nope.
There are 24 types of Anemia, you know what he has? Nope. I can go on and on.

My point is you can't possibly suggest a supplement when you don't know so much about him and all that he has done or is doing.

Am I talking about something that requires a prescription? No

Am I suggesting that anyone forgo their doctor in making these decisions? No

Does it really matter if I know what kind of Anemia KP had to make a suggestion on a message board? Fuck No.

He has trainers, doctors to answer those questions. This post doesnt change that. Its been shown in studies to improve performance, the results described as "promising". Ive experienced it myself. Thats all I need to know to recommend it. Dont need your permission.

Doesn't matter what subject, eventually there is a post from you about what qualifies me to offer an opinion on anything here. Dont need anything. Again, sports message board, not the New England Journal of Medicine.

Great all around game by KP today. This is why you guys can't freak out all the time. We can see him figuring some things out already. He played the complete game.

It's the NBA. There's no "garbage" competition.

Am I wrong? I wouldn't make claims like he figured it out after 1 game against the Nets. Wouldn't that be as equally as ridiculous as calling him Mr. November

If Ewing had come out after his freshman year, folks would be looking to trade him like they are KP.

I do think there is a fair concern that has to be measured.

The bigger issue is why is he getting played so many minutes in some of these games?

If I am Jeff- I move KP to the bench. That does 2 things. Lights a fire under his ass, and gets him to play less minutes, and maybe gives him a chance to play a bigger role in the 2nd half!

Ewing was a 23 year old rookie, hurt both his first 2 seasons and didnt have a whole healthy season until year 3 when he was 25.

KP is in a great spot. The perspective is he's going to be a 22 year old all star, the first of many and he's still in his rookie deal. KP was and continues to be the best scenario (short of willing pick 1) that could have come out of that draft.

It's overreacting to this trend that is the problem. Look at his season overall. He's improved significantly in most areas and is damn good for a 22 year old. Ups and downs should be expected.

Each year his November gets better and better.
His slump, each year, the slump numbers are bettter.
His average this year is almost 24 a night.
He's the LEADER in the league in rim protection.
He's a 7'3 nightmare mismatch that draws doubles.

Now is he a finished maxed out product? Far from it. He us only 2 years and 3 months into his NBA career. By those terms he's still very very early in his career. Phil Jackson said KP will need four to five years to be like Pau Gasol body wise. So give him some time. I think he will fill out.

The reason players like CLee, Jack, Kanter. all these guys are getting easy looks is because the defense is focused on KP. The toughest thing to get in the NBA is the thing we already have. A player the opposing defense is set on, keyed in, sending doubles, because they are aware of his scoring abilty. This opens up the game for everyone else. Right now we don't have the star guard to take advantage of that. With Tim we have the wing, but we need that point guard who can do that as well. Once we get that player, with, KP and Timmy, this tean will be a force to be reckoned with.

Again:
season 1 Great start slow middle strong finish 14 ppg
season 2 Great start slow middle strong finish 18 ppg
season 3 Great start slow middle? So far 24 ppg

He's getting better and more productive. That slump/slow middle is really frustrating to watch. But he's a 2 year 3 month NBA player who is still 15 pounds at least underweight and I'm sure after this season of being beat up as the man by defenses he will commit himself to being physically even tougher in the summer. He knows now what kind of fouling and wacking the NBA defenses do to you as the man. This guy is going to be a 27 points a night superstar in a year. He just has to keep working hard in the summer on his body, keep studying game tape on what NBA defenses are doing to him. He will improve. He lives for basketball.

Nothing has improved. His PPG is higher because he's taking more shots. He's making and missing more shots a game each year. He's not hitting at a better rate or taking smarter shots. The changes in all other areas (assists, rebounds, etc.) are negligible.

And what's with the "strong finish"? Are you making references to his ability to look good in a suit on the bench at the end of seasons?

Stop making so much sense. This board isn't capable of rationalizing it.

Yeah, just keep typing things over and over again with no facts to back it up. Maybe the NY Post needs some interns!

Same guys different player. The board is full of haters. Always looking for ONE guy to be the cause of their reduced bragging rights at the office. If he scores 40 they will point out the lack of something else. Same guys that dogged Melo, Ewing etc etc. Guys I dislike the most. I am sure most of them excelled at everything! (Back in HS)

IMO. KP has done a very good job taking over the lead role. He has improved his inside game. (My biggest criticism last year) Specially how he is shooting over smaller defenders. Remeber last year when he would shoot the ball as if he was still 6 feet tall and worried about the defender. The kid has improved something year over year. Still needs to improve plenty of things but every player does. He has once again exceeded expectations. No matter what the haters think.

that is improvement. IS the guy who scores 5ppg on 45% the exact same as the guy who scorers 25ppg on 45%... one just takes more shots?

Does taking shots take more effort? He's got fewer fouls, more blocks and more PPG in his per 36 as well. He's a more productive player this year, point blank.

Making 2 more and missing 3 more shots a game equates to no significant improvement. That just doesn't impress me. If we wanted 40% chucking, we should have just kept that other guy!

Regarding the other stats: Just by chance, you'd expect 50% of his stats to be a little better and 50% a little worse. And that looks to be the case with his per 36 #s.

KP's role on the team has changed. He's gone from AAA to the Show and his stats are similar while he is the main dude on the team. Struggled recently but double teams are now in full effect.
