The Knicks need a well spoken charasmatic leader. Marbury can hardly speak he has no charisma at all. He is a basketball player and he doesn't need the burden of being team captain. He isn't that bright to know when to motivate players and how to motivate players. Thats why I think Penny is the man for the job along with H20. If you are going to do co-captains. the way I see it is that Penny is gonna be gone next year and if Marbury has earned his right to be a co captain with H20 then he can take it. Right now I wouldn't change a thing the last thing this team needs to do is alienate their best offensive player and thats H20.

Penny is a good candidate, but who knows if he'll even be here in a year's time? there's no sense in appointing a role player as captain unless you know he's going to be around for a while...much like PHI did w/Eric Snow a while back. (even though he's no longer there now)

I think Houston and Marbury should be co-captains

A title can make a player feel like he belongs on the team. It could lead to an increase in effort and work ethic. Titles are very important to people in society.

There should be no captain. Because Isiah thinks he is the captain anyhow.
