![]() hindsight... Knicks accomplished all their goals in a Melo trade. FA and the draft as well. They wanted to be younger, to defend and share the ball. Guess what... its happening.
Trade away agenda driven players and replace with coachable guys (Kanter/McD/THjr/Frank) This was their offseason and we are seeing immediate dividends. Good job Knicks FO. Now its up to the coaching staff to keep pushing the right buttons "winning is more fun... then fun is fun" -Thibs

![]() Does Melo still have a no trade clause?

![]() Is 1/5th of the season gone too early?
Melo had to be gone. That we got anything, much less the valuable players we are seeing, is wondrous. |

Ideally Melo as a stretch forward with Russ and Adams makes a lot of sense and should in theory provide Russ and Adams quality spacing to do the damage that they do given their skill sets of Russ penetration and creation ability and Adams defense and finishing. OKC has to establish roles and the players all have to buy into their roles. With Boston KG, Pierce, Allen all had to buy into and commit to roles. Same with Lebron, Wade, Bosh and all these other supper teams that have made it work. https://vote.nba.com/en Vote for your Knicks.

![]() It is too early? Its November, its too early for trade evaluation, picking Frank vs DSjr, playoffs and draft.
We won because we are letting the saplings get sunlight. Its where our franchise is. OKC is in another place. |

![]() I thought OKC would do better with Melo and I thought Knicks would do much worse without him.

![]() Melo is just proving Phil Jackson right
Not about talent here It's about moving forward NY is OKC is like us last year now They make the playoffs but will not go anywhere with that team. |
