Maybe becuase it took him two All-Stars to squeak out of the first round.
I'll take Timmy Duncan over this loser any day.
I would take Duncan too but KG never had any help. He had Wally World. Duncan atleast had Tony Parker and Stephen Jackson!
And he had the Admiral to form that terror twin towers tandem. Duncan had plenty help. KG has been Da Man of his team for too many years and still is even with two aging all-stars on his team.
Oh, I totally disagree. He's been the main guy on his teams, but if he's so great, why do I feel like if he faced Duncan or Yao or Dirk in the playoffs with equal supporting casts, he'd lose? Who did they even beat this year? A busted Kings team and a green Nuggets team that lost Melo in the end? Come on! They had one of the easiest roads in the playoffs! And then they couldn't even put away what we all know was a WEAK Lakers team.
KG is a punk who talks a big game, but never seems to back it up. Sure, regular season stats are nice, but so is post season success. It took him 9 years just to get out of the first round? Jeez.
And he's had talent. Marbs and Googs. Terrell and Wally. Troy and Wally. Joe Smith and Rasho. I seem to remember everyone coveting Olowkandi. Ever notice how teammates seem to want to run out of Minny screaming? Think of Rasho, Googs, Marbs and others. The guy is overrated and has been handed the league by the NBA's marketing department because he's got street cred for some bizarre reason I will never understand. Win something big fella. Oh, and when was the last time a 7 footer as talented as he is claimed to be anything other than a center? Man up and get your elbows dirty, KG!
My favorite KG moment: 2003 playoffs against the Lakers, Twolves are up 2-1 and KG says, "if we come out and win the next one, the series is over." The comment is relayed to Kobe Bryant who raises his eyebrows and says, "That's a bold statement." Kobe goes out and destroys KG in the next game.
I don't like Kobe's personality, he's arrogant, but he's more of a superstar than KG will ever be.
