EXACTLY what I said all summer long, melo never wanted to be traded, or else he would of put more than one team on his list.

I disagree that this means that Melo didnt want to go to Houston. I believe he wanted to see if the Knicks were dumb enough to repeat the Ewing trade. To move him to what would be a great destination at this point in his career, and contract.
The article was saying that Melo's team was throwing one last "Hail Mary". The entire offseason was one big Hail Mary by Melo to force a trade to Houston.
Looks like Perry is showing that times have changed. We'll see how long it lasts, but this is the kind of smart stance the Knicks usually dont take.
