Spurs and Memphis played 2 bigs. There's going to be plenty of ways you can have success playing that way and both can thrive. We can't keep Willy off the floor just to force a style of play when you can easily play Horns or Triangle or Spurs or Grizzlies style sets when they're both on the floor. The Knicks aren't the Warriors or Rockets!

Jeff has plenty of sets he has used while playing 2 bigs. This isn't rocket science.

SOME teams are playing small and SOME are still playing thru bigs. There's nothing preventing a team from playing to their strengths if they happen to have more Bigs as their top players.

Last 10 Finals featured plenty of bigs and not all Small Ball Teams.

The Knicks have a lot of strength at the 4/5 spots and will have to play to those strengths. They can mix things up so that they can also play small but they shouldn't run away from what is their strength at 4/5.

We will have to see how Willy looks. Last year, he only looked like a 5. If he has improved his jumpshot and has improved his perimeter defense, then I can see him playing the 4 spot against certain teams. IN any case, Willy and KP are the two best bigs, so they will have to play 4/5 for now. If it becomes clear that they are both better at the 5 spot, we can always trade Willy for a first round pick or another prospect. We will need a stud SF once Melo leaves. I would if Willy looks great would the Celtics be interested in trading Jason Tatum for Willy. Celtics need a center more than they need another SF, so they might be interested if Willy looks like a stud. We could then move KP to the 5 spot. Start Quinn or Thomas at 4, and then have Tatum at 3, with Hardaway at 2, and Frank at 1. That would be a pretty solid team.

Willy and KP complement each other beautifully on the offensive end. It's on defense when there's a stretch four playing against them that's the problem. Willy may not have the range to guard that type of player and if KP is pulled out to the perimeter then we lose his great rim protection.

That was the real problem last year from what I saw.
On offense they complement each other well.
Especially was good when we played 3 guards out there with them, instead of Melo at SF.
The problem was defense.

KP has to be able to defend better and same with Willy.
The solution I have is to take one of them out at the 6 min mark of the first quarter and bring them back with the second unit.
This allows a real stretch 4 like Lance Thomas or Bealsey to come in.

Tomorrow 12.30 pm ET there will be a friendly(not really) game between Latvia(Porzingis) and Lithuania(Kuuz) , i will try to post online links to watch this game online

This is a game you want to see, Latvia and Lithuania are friendly neighbor countries, but when it comes to basketball we are enemies nr1, every game between Latvia and Lithuania is full intensity and aggression, tickets to this game is sold out weeks ago

If your playing them both up front together it doesn't really matter which one is playing where. You just defend by the matchup. The problem with KP at the 5 is he is an awful rebounding big and we don't have a 4 other than Willy that will eat 10 boards. Melo probably could get 8 if he changed his game some. I keep thinking how much better the Knicks would be if Rolo was here instead of Noah. Rolo at least has functional ability Noah fing sux

KP can block and Billy can board. Two things you need your center to do on defense. Neither of them is going to be a perfect fit. It's up to them to play together and develop chemistry that allows them to cover each other's weaknesses. There's no static solution that will work based on minutes rotation. They will have to fluid and dynamic and adjust according to the strength of three opposing team.

Wow Latvia won and KP owned Jonas Valanciunas really got under his skin... Jonas had the better overall team, KP just makes his team so much better so much focus was on KP that it opened up the court for his teammates to flourish.

KP is ready to take over the NBA I expect big things from him, again he played center the whole time.

KP - 16 points 10 rebounds
Kuuz - 14 points 5 rebounds

KP game was terrible today, mainly because Lithuanians did play very smart defense on him, he did take a lot of bad shots, and he is not ready to guard heavy 5s, JV was pushing him around a lot
Kuuz game was very ok, especially dunk on KP :D

i did not watch all game, but he wasnt playing so many minutes anyway, Marc Gasol was mostly on a floor
