Break up their families cuz they are horney.
Do I care about any of this before? No. In fact, I've kept it all on the court.
Why bring it up know? Not me, its La La. IT was the push back by the players Union. It was KP sticking up for Melo.
The hypocrisy of making his way to NY to play with knicks, then coached by MDA. He wanted him gone. Now he going again to a MDA coached team. Im sure its all be agreed upon.
The Hypocrisy of "recruiting".
The Hypocrisy of "reports" (but never denied) that he wanted to stay for his son. But he go for CP3.
Nalod bought into this and was ok with Melo for the most part except his not living up to promises made.
Again, I was ok with him wanting to stay.

Nailed it.

No one holds melo responsible ever.

He's directly lied and used his kids in his excuses as some sort of a pr game to fool your average goober knick fan.

This guy is the ultimate scum and fake hustler. His fake dad responsibility is the same as his fake faithful husband or fake loyal New Yorker also like his instagram videos every summer where he teases slimming down and playing defense.

If people haven't caught on yet, every word out of Melos mouth is some sort of a spin job and not reality.

Must be nice to live in a world where good dads don't ever make mistakes. Air must be really rare down there in NC.

You have any issue with Mr. LookAtMyFeetStupidMothers not living up to anything near a million a month? Any "Hypocrisy" you wouldn't mind bringing up there?

The "Hypocrisy" of a player saying he wants to stay here, but realizing the remaining management wants him to go anyway.

The "Hypocrisy" of someone changing their minds based on changing circumstances, based on possibly one of the worst wastes of $70+ mil since Noah. Maybe Mills reads the UK and figured out having a bunch of Melo-less yoots who couldn't score 80 points a night if their lives depended on it was a compelling reason to get a hired shooter while looking like his own man at the same time.

You're getting too personal in your defense of melo and are defending him like he's your dad.

We've been around and watched Melo for a long time. It's time to swallow and admit bitter truths. You don't have to hate Melo just understand who he is and he's the type of his guys that will use his kids as an excuse to get what he wants from ny.

You're a fan, you don't have any ability to. You can only complain and pick fights with your fellow fans over events you have no role in.

He's directly lied and used his kids in his excuses as some sort of a pr game to fool your average goober knick fan.

I think your average goober fan doesn't give a ****.

This guy is the ultimate scum and fake hustler. His fake dad responsibility is the same as his fake faithful husband or fake loyal New Yorker also like his instagram videos every summer where he teases slimming down and playing defense.

Again, you're the one who represents yourself as caring, same as the dumbasses who give a **** what happens in the lives of people they can only watch from afar (on TV and instagram) and be envious of, or worse, feel some sort of relationship with.

Melo, who you don't know and never will, affects you. You describe being affected events you have no part in.

And you haven't caught on.

I don't share the same intensity of Sinix but when do you and fans hold Melo somewhat culpable for his lack of success here?
Im fine with a guy earning his money. I think he held up his end of the contract for the most part but he has said things and didn't hold up to it. Words have meanings.
Nothing PHil said was wrong.

I admire your loyalty to Melo. Pivoting to Noah has no relevance to this discussion. Unless of course Melo helped recruit him!!!!
Lets assume he did not. Indefensible move on Phil unless he performs up to the contract this year. I suppose until we get youtube's of him working out, he isn't.

Problem with fans like you is that you claim to know about basketball, know what's goimg on in the NBA, put down a HOF level athlete and know what it takes to win on a higher level organized team. We both know that the peak of your bball expertise is this fan forum and shooting at your local park. You seem more interested in personal attacks instead of opening your eyes and paying attention to what has been going on around here. We could have replaced Melo with Curry or Bron and you guys would still be blaming them and not the clowns on the court with them or the ones in the front office. And that includes hate filled fans that blame the stars for not enriching their lives. Last I checked that was your responsibility. Fans like you deserve what you get. Being fooled by your ignorance and the owners that dont care about anything but making money.

My firm sent me to Chicago quite often and I got to watch lots of Cub games. Talking with fans I always admired how they supported their players even though they always lost. Came to realize the guys I was sitting next to all had successful happy lives and were not as jealous as NY fans. Most claimed NY fans were uneducated, hateful cry babies who hated their lives and got what they deserved.. Always thought they were wrong.

I'm sure there a lot of ******* fans in Chicago too. Its the case everywhere. yes New York is tough but I still love it despite the changes the past 20 years. Anyway fans have a right to like or not like a player. Many fans don't hate melo they just get frustrated with him which I understand. either way a trade is the best thing that can happen for both parties

Im sure if you talk with fans in the garden you get a different take as well.
I don't profess to being expert on the game.
In fact, I have been more supportive of Melo and don't blame him for our problems. The trade itself was not on him, the knicks made it.
I don't keep up with who is aligned with which cause as much thus really can't debate your stance. I would not put me in the basket with the venomous melo hater with my comments the last 24 hours regarding melo trading. Knicks empowered him and thus what ever problems are involved its the team. Remember, Im not into "Blame".

My stance is at the end of the day Melo dropped his NTC for two situations and the way it went down I sort of am disappointed in Melo for the way its unfolding. I blame the lack of forsight in "The trade" were we once again got a star player and did not build properly. Amare's decline and contract was a big part of that.

I agree its the fans that pay the money and fuel the franchise of pro sports and the fan that thinks they have a voice. We don't . It is entertainment. My writing is my entertainment as is the conversations we have here.

Melo did not cross any egregious line here either morally or professionally. He was sold as a "Star" and as such fulfilled expectations beyond reason. We have seen it before:

We have done this before! Its all about how MSG sold Melo as the savior.

http://www.ultimateknicks.com/forum/topic.asp?t=47981

and we'll see it again.....

Yes, I agree, we get what we deserve!

Melo was in NY for 7 years and has nothing to show for it.
Who cares if this is his fault or fault of Dolan, Walsh, MDA, Lin , Phil, scrubs, Mills...
They all are a bunch of loses and this is undeniable truth.
The team, the culture, the organization stinks...
Time to make it quits and part ways to at least stop stinking like pile of sht...

They are enabling to each other which is why nothing will ever get solved.

There was a voice that said 'enough was enough' with Dolan and Melo and also said the Knicks needed a change of culture. He was fired for pushing that issue so the swamp could engulf the Knicks again.

Also if you think the fans and media don't effect the Knicks just ask Phil and Dolan.

Phil said straight up the media and fans made the Knicks rebuilding job harder than it needs to be.

A lot of these moves this off season are a knee jerk reaction to fans from Dolan.

Fan reaction drives a lot of action the Knicks take. You're a small member of the franchise as a fan.

Agreed. Most fans strive to be "Know it alls" through self education and personal opinion. I am okay with that. Always thought their was a line, a respectable fan, should stay away from.

Agreed. Most fans strive to be "Know it alls" through self education and personal opinion. I am okay with that. Always thought their was a line, a respectable fan, should stay away from.

I don't think most fans are "know it alls". Yes I'm sure there are some like that but most are just passionate. I understand that as a fan of Melo its tough to hear negative comments i totally understand that.

Phil said straight up the media and fans made the Knicks rebuilding job harder than it needs to be.

A lot of these moves this off season are a knee jerk reaction to fans from Dolan.

Fan reaction drives a lot of action the Knicks take. You're a small member of the franchise as a fan.

No.

You wish you were.

The hypocrisy of "Im willing to sacrifice my game to win", but then won't stop holding the ball?

The real problem is fans like you think you can talk down to people because they don't worship you ****ty ass stars. This makes you somehow superior in your basketball knowledge while every one reading your posts can tell that is not the case. You put your stars ahead of the team just like they put their egos ahead of the team. It's dumb starfukking fans like you and your relentless self adoration for your imaginary grasp of basketball that has enabled this atrocious culture in the NBA and continues to do so.

I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only try to make them think - Socrates

Melo fans killed Phil and then Melo is gone as well. I don't know why it had to happen. It was all about the emotion more than anything. What Phil wanted from Melo, MDA, Harden and CP3 would want more. I would not think they would accept that he holds the ball that long and plays no defense. In here Melo is the king but in Houston he is not.

I don't mind he is going away, but he has done too much damage here. You were angry that you refused to move away then now you see the chance you don't want to be here? He is not that loyal. As least you could have gone quietly and didn't make a noise with KP, Phil would not got fired. Mills would not come out to the top as a winner. Mills would not bring another in-house puppet as GM. So everything is back to 2014 but the difference is that Melo is no longer here and Mills has all of assets Phil left to him. Hopefully he will not blow them away too soon.

This. All baseless assertion and invective. We may as well speculate how many mistresses and abandoned children Nalod has left stranded and how hypocritical he is because we have just as much information on his personal life as Melo.

I never bought up the allegations of his interlude with strippers.
Nalod married 31 years and raised two kids. I get to pontificate form a higher place cuz I put my kids and family before my urges.
Thats what a good father does. If you in a bad marriage then end it and move on. But if you gonna be a dog, then you get what you deserved.
If I touched a nerve with some of you who might have strayed, well, IM sorry if I offended you.

Nah.

That's just bare minimum requirement.

None of us get "good" credit for that.
