leiweke joined the raptors in 03/04. he came from LA where he brought the kings to a championship. his first move was to bring phil jackson to toronto but phil was still holding out for a seattle expansion. he fired colangelo and colangelo recommended ujiri (who was previously the assistant gm in toronto before denver). ujiri comes aboard and leiweke leaves the following season. the rest is history.

not sure how many years the extension was for but if you want him, fork over unprotected 2018 and swap in 19. ujiri is as good as it gets.
