I'm not aligned with Phil on the "intriguing" Frenchman over explosive Smith or Monk.

People wanted to draft this kid after watching DRose for afull season. Just what the doctor ordered another heads down, no passing chucker with a ACL injury. Makes sense.

All you guys who are saying "whole league is laughing" at Knicks - you're buying into an anti-Phil, anti-NY, anti-Knicks bias made worse by those who feel slighted by Phil asking them to man-up and get with the program. Phil has this team on the right track - we have three young building blocks, ALL our future draft picks, and plenty of cap room. If you don't see this you're eating the tripe being fed to you by those with an agenda (or those who are just parroting others instead of thinking for themselves).
The new new core: Randle, RJ, IQ. Maybe Mitch. Future pick. Future trade. Future FA.

Knicks fans who buy the whole laughing-stock story are like the kids in the video (FF to the 2:06 mark).
The new new core: Randle, RJ, IQ. Maybe Mitch. Future pick. Future trade. Future FA.

"I don't want a guy that can jump out of the building. I want a guy that can defend, play within a system, is a high skill player". Nti has more longterm potential than Smith. Even though Smith is a better player than him now, what this team needs is looking for is a guard that can defend and play within the system. DRose 2.0 is not we need. |

Lmao It is no secret everyone has been laughing at the Knicks for a long time. Dont need to buy in to anything but our own experience. Its already a fact. Do think Phil preffered Frank over everyone else for some time (Or Lauri). And it was Phils pick regardless. Thats easy. Smith nor Monk are Triangle guys. Frank is. Do think Cuban thinks he made it happen by putting it out there that he wanted Frank. But he is another idiot. However, feel Smiith and Monk were best players available. Smith has a lot of talent. He was ranked higher, since a young age, than any of the top 3? Injury set him back. But he showed no signs of issues from this past year. Which was the only concern for most teams. Think he was a steal for the Mavs. But as always, we shall see!! 'Knicks focus should be on players that have grown up playing soccer or cricket' - Triplethreat 8/28/2020

Stevie franchise 2.0 but hopefully a longer shelf life.
To post they "faked out" knicks, especially Gaines a highly respected scout is ignorant. |

I was definitely worried about the knee with DSJ. Even more so after what happened with our failed experiment with Rose.
It is too early to tell. Give us summer league, and then some actual games. |

The focus HAD to be defense. Also, these comparisons to Grant don't take into account that Frank in 18 and Grant was 22 or 23 years old and spent four years in college. "We are playing a game. We are playing at not playing a game..."
